Most of Jill Mansell's books are wonderful, but this one is a little tricky. My problem is, I can't quite identify with or even warm up to the no. 1 heroine. I have to admit, I'm not quite through with the book. But I can already safely say that Izzy is one annoying heroine. Maybe she was spoiled for me from the start, with her juggling two boyfriends or rather sex partners. Of course she'll end up with the gorgeous and nice guy, unless I'm very much mistaken. Then she is described as incredibly optimistic - more often she is actually rather stupid, more like a teenager than a woman of around forty. And she "never cries", according to Jill Mansell, but in fact she is the one who cries the most of all of them. What sort of saves the story for me is the rest of the cast, especially Izzy's daughter Katerina. So while I can't wholeheartedly recommend this particular novel, it's still funny and interesting enough that it makes a really fast read.
Ja, dieses Buch ist eins der interessanten Mansell Bücher. Es ist jede Menge los und es wird nicht langweilig. Lustige Begebenheiten gibt es auch. Alle die Jill Mansell mögen, werden auch dieses Buch mögen.
