Having melted away just listening to John Thornton in North & South and having been seduced by the one episode I saw on BBC, this audio book was a must have. Richard Armitage is a gifted reader, though it becomes better as of the second episode - where he gradually stops reading in Queen's English and his natural handsome northern accent becomes more distinct.
As said before, the story itself is more complex and Guy of Guisborne a little more vicious than in the TV adaptation....
A bonus is Richard Armitage speaking about the filming of Robin Hood in Bulgaria (last chapter on the discs).
It makes adorable listening, making you wish for red traffic lights...
