The Filklub Edition has English subs, too!,

Rezension bezieht sich auf: ... und vor Lust zu Sterben - Filmclub Edition 11 [Limited Edition] (DVD)
This comment is for the English-speaking film fans who have been waiting for this one to make it to DVD and/or Blu-ray.
There are two language tracks - German and French, and the French track has English subtitles.
While the transfer has some problems (a somewhat noisy s/t) the transfer of the 2.35 print is better than expected considering it seems little if any restoration work has been done.
Hopefully this somewhat forgotten film will be seen by new lovers of the fantastique. Far from a traditional vampire movie such as Hammer were making at the time and later. BLOOD AND ROSES has a somewhat oblique take on the Sheridan LeFanu tale, a wonderfully dreamlike atmosphere, great use of real locations and a great use of colour and black and white.
Far superior to the P/S videotape from many years back, with its ghastly dubbing. Highly recommended, and not just because it has been so hard to see for so long.

Joseph Brando meint:
Blood and Roses actually was not dubbed in English - it was shot twice simultaneously in French and in English - bother versions feature many differences - and it would be nice to one day see the English version in as good of a presentation as this is. :)

Are you sure about this? Filming in English and French....simultaneously?? Wherever did you get this information?
I imagine the actors having to redo the scenes for each language...which would mean the entire versions of each would have differences in movements, character placements, etc. Not just different scenes.
Of everything I have ever read up on this film, I have NEVER read anywhere, in any film magazine online or offline, that this movie was shot twice in different languages.
