Rezension bezieht sich auf: Quiet: The power of introverts in a world that can't stop talking (Taschenbuch)
This book is wonderfully written and very informative. It combines facts and personal experience in a way that might not be the equivalent of scientific research, but is definitely both plausible and relatable. Cain alternates anecdotes with relevant experiments, which makes the book very lively. She's spoken to a lot of interesting people, from students to prominent researchers, and always uses the dialogues to illustrate her point in an elegant way. The book may not be concise (as Cain fully admits and explains in a footnote), but it gives a broad insight into the cultural concept of introversion and the way different cultures handle it. I fully support its agenda of encouraging a balance of respect for introversion and extroversion, and so can only encourage both introverts and extroverts to take a look - it's an eye-opener!
The edition is a bonus as well, it's very nicely printed and bound.
