Sage Carrigan has left the rodeo circuit with a broken heart and a damaged knee five years ago. She returned to her home town Marietta, Montana and became a chocolatier. Marietta is hosting a rodeo event, the Copper Mountain Rodeo, and Sage is shocked when the reason for her heartbreak, Dawson O'Dell shows up at her shop and is determined to win her back. But Sage can never forget the humiliating night when she slept with Dawson and his wife showed up with a shotgun. He never told her he is married and this status hasn't changed in the five years. Instead, he shows up with his 5year old daughter. She always hoped that there might be a chance for them but since he is still married, Sage makes it clear that there will be no happily ever after for them - even when her heart still belongs to this cowboy..
What a well written and nice story! I liked Sage and her sisters very much and have already added the next book to my wishlist. I didn't like the father though, even after Sage revealed the big family secret. He is very harsh to his daughters and never shows any affections. The story could have been a little bit longer but I liked it anyway. I hope to see more of Sage in the books of her sisters. Great read!
