How to ruin a good script idea
am 1. Dezember 2015
US screenplay writers decide to feature a highly intelligent lead character (Bones) with an also very intelligent team in a series about the adventures of a forensic anthropologist - which is intriguing.
And then they ruin it all (at least for the more intelligent viewers), by catering to the average, puritan, religious US dumbsters as well, - people who still believe that metaphysics must be better than physics and whose world is full of fairies and gods.
As soon as the futile attempt is made, to incorporate religion and ghosts, taken seriously, into an otherwise superbly intelligent environment, for all intelligent viewers the "epic fail" is guaranteed.
Watch "The Big Bang Theory" as a referenceon how "superbly intelligent" and "religion" should be portrayed together. In Bones it's just annoying and (for me) spoils the otherwise highly entertaining series, when metaphysics are portrayed like something that actually deserves to be taken seriously.
