Req. reading for those soon to be flirting with lesbianism..
am 10. Dezember 1999
My ex-girlfriend and her college friends used to spout off this unfair, extremist trash as fact (although they were never aware of, or at least never cited, their source). I never knew why until I came across this book. Now, I have to suspect instructors at Bryn Mawr College (and perhaps the other Seven Sisters) teach it to the young, sheltered, impressionable freshman women in their college orientation classes or somesuch (perhaps to try an increase the amount of lesbian experimentation there by making men seem less desirable).
This book is hate speech, pure and unadulterated, and it is about as funny as making up untrue rape allegations. This book has nothing to do with feminism, at least not any sort of sex-positive or egalitarian variety, but it does at least have the ability separate out strong, true, noble feminists from the ugly stereotypes they must regularly deal with (the ugly stereotypes are the ones that buy, read, like, and/or believe this book).
