A stunning story that really causes a shiver down the spine!
By writing an autobiography ,christy brown was able to express his feelings, emotions and sorrows because he wasn't able to do so with his body,
He brilliantly "worded" his feelings by describing in detail how he managed to master his difficult life from his childhood on.
By learning how to write with his left foot he found a way out of his disabled body ,into to the outside world.Eventhoug he was limited in his physical abilities, he wasn't in his mental ones.

This autobiography is, of course, about the author's life but also about his hopes, dreams and all the difficulties he had to deal with his affliction. To my mind, Christy Brown is a fighter although some chapters make him look a bit manic-depressive. It's a peculiar and special story and definitely not a book for everyone.
