This monograph is a "must" for anyone working with methods of the theory of finite fields. The authors present a comprehensive collection of concepts and results. In fact, this book has become THE reference on finite fields. It will be helpful for anyone that has to do research in the context of finite fields (like in coding theory, etc.). The reader is supposed to have a good knowledge of mathematics (i.e. a graduate level will be helpful). The strong point of this book is the fact that it contains practically every notion and result that might be of interest. For this reason, one will use it as a reference, but not so much for leisurly reading.
