Although on the backcover some Authors say how well and how easy this book is written I have found it to be unnecessarily difficult from the mathematical point of view as well as the English language used to explain the concepts.
First the Maths:
They often use a lot of Maths instead of explaining it in words. It is beautiful to have a lot of formulas but it would be even better to have some explanation. You lose a lot of time to understand concepts where a simple sentence whould have been enough to check it much faster.
May in itself be a reason not to buy the book. It is very difficult to read through the book because in a sentence they put 3 or 4 formulas without even taking a new line...
To sum it up:
From the economic point of view and if you are interested in the models and how they came about it is a great book. For students who wish to understand the intuiton or to have great examples (like in varian's, mankiw's books) it is not because you take a lot of time to digest mathematic formulas instead of getting the intuition...
