I bought this book to supplement my education in Quantum Mechanics, a role which it is quite good at.
However, there's a problem: The solutions to the end of chapter tasks are NOT openly available. To gain access to the solutions manual, you have to have a lecturer's account at Oxford University Publishing.
In short: Anyone who wants to use this book outside university and a lecture using this book should think twice about buying it.

Despite its wonderful presentation I have some criticism about the book. First, it concentrates very much on applications and a view on larger systems important in chemistry (here it has its strengths) and lacks the physical foundations of quantum chemistry. Second, the recommended references are not helpful. Important references in quantum physics are lacking as well as some other important resources in quantum chemistry. It should at least give plausible references in areas not sufficiently touched. The interested reader should better study some fundamentals first before turning to this book.
