Seems hastily and carelessly compiled. The screen shots they used are of an underwhelming quality. There is no Index for this over 600 pages strong book! This renders it more or less useless for me. The table of context as well as the layout of the book are also not made in a very reader friendly manner. As I said...looks like they were out to get it published asap to make some money.
The first page if started reading had already typos. I dont even wanna no how many bugs are in the code. The book went on the shelve immediately - Waste of space and money on my part.

1.0 von 5 Sternen Seems like a beta version of the book 10. März 2017

Rushed to market and it shows. Lots of errors in the print version I received. Seems like a beta version of the book. Not to mention it is the size of a phonebook. I have to think that was a formatting mistake given all the other issues with the book.

5.0 von 5 Sternen The Top Book On Angular 2 20. Dezember 2016
Von James Preston - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Taschenbuch
I'm mostly through it now and it is one of the best tech books I've read over the past 35 years. Clear and concise writing with very few typos. The teaching style is to expose the reader to concepts first and explain them a little later. I've found through my decades of teaching various skills that layering up knowledge this way is the most effective. It is more like on-the-job-training which is far more effective than academic study.

It is the top book recommended on Reddit Angular 2 developer group.
1.0 von 5 Sternen Bad book, bad business model, unhappy customer 22. Mai 2017
Von William R. Hardin Jr. - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Taschenbuch
Bought the book through GumRoad as an early adopter, ready to learn about the new framework. I had quality concerns initially and provided feedback and suggestions to help them produce a superior product, like, I don't know, writing down a script for the accompanied screencast instead of poorly fumbling through it. Clearly they never listened as the screencast is still awful. A little less than a year later, I checked in to see what updates had been made and found that they prematurely cut updates for early adopters for some reason! The Angular project did a "major version" update from 2->4 which is largely semantic and by all means, ng-book 2 should cover that content. It seems like they used the arbitrary versioning (which the Angular team explains here: angularjs.blogspot.com/2016/12/ok-let-me-explain-its-going-to-be.html ) change as some kind of cash-grab breakpoint. Nobody is going to deploy Angular version 2 to production, at least not with this book. Like the others have said, it never made it out of beta and now they're jumping on to the next major version as if it's a totally new product. It's ridiculous. If they want to do version-based books, that's fine - but they never even finished this product, they just stopped working on it.

FYI the book is available on Github as a PDF for free, google for it to see if you like the quality before you waste your money on this steaming pile.

1.0 von 5 Sternen Not worth it 27. März 2017
Von N. Patel - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Taschenbuch
Not so well written, few errors. I find it very difficult to get the updated version. they have no link where I can simply login and download the latest version. They have changed their version # and want me to repay for the never version. I will be better with googling and other sites offer similar courses for free.
