Everything heard on Steel Panthers albums is inspired by real life. "It's our set life story," says Satchel. Steel Panthers are known as the best neo-metal, glam revival parody band. They have released four studio albums so far and platinum status on YouTube, have appeared on numerous TV shows, toured the world and famously infamous. At the end of the day, however, this terrible quartet hopes only one thing: that heavy metal can bring world peace. "In a world full of hate and hopelessness, it is now important to bring the worldwide heavy metal community into play. Und wieder eine geile Vinyl im "Bad-Taste" - Design - diesmal ein grausig schönes matt/bleiches Giftgrün - farblich perfekt abgestimmt mit dem Druck am Cover - wieder eine Falthülle, leider auch wieder mit der billigen Papierhülle die immer zwickt wenn man die Platte ins Cover schieben will. Ich versteh nicht warum man das noch produziert... Aber das Vinyl ist sehr hochwertig (schwer und dick - so wie man das von Steel Panther erwarten würde :-D ) Ich zieh trotzdem einen Stern für die billige Papierhülle ab, weils einfach nervt :-P

    Ich bin hauptsächlich ein Fan des ersten Albums, da mich fast jeder Song darauf zum ausrasten bringt. Als das neue Album dann endlich ankam, ging ich mit der Erwartung, ähnlich gute Songs mit Ohrwurmfaktor und den einfachen Lyrics zu hören, an die Sache.

    Beim ersten Durchlauf war ich etwas enttäuscht, da mich kein Song so richtig gepackt hat; Ich habe auf DEN Hammer wie "Girl From Oklahoma", "Fat Girl" o.Ä. gewartet bei dem ich erst mal 5 Minuten lachen muss, er kam nicht, darauf hin wechselte ich wieder auf meine Standard Playlist.

    Als ich dann heute Abend losgefahren bin um meine Pizza zu holen, war ich zu Faul die CD im Auto zu wechseln und ich dachte mir 'ach lässt es für die kurze Strecke einfach nochmal anlaufen'. Auf einmal war es da. Als die erste Strophe von "Goin' in the Backdoor" ertönt, hats mich fast aus der Bahn geschlagen. Bis ich wieder daheim war konnte ich ich mir noch einmal "She's Tight", "Anything Goes" sowie "Wrong Side of the Tracks" reinziehen; Das Album ist ein Glam Rock/Glam Metal Kracher vom feinsten. Die Riffs, die Soli, die Stimme, der Stil, die Qualität der Aufnahmen, es hat mich alles gepackt, ich bin ein totaler Fan des Albums. Höre es gerade zum 4. mal durch.

    Mein Fazit ist also: Gehe nicht mit der Erwartung dran ähnliche Songs wie bereits bekannt zu bekommen. Hör dir die Songs ein paar mal an, die Qualität und die Professionalität der Songs ist auf absolut hohem Niveau. Es ist mehr Glam Metal Newcomer als Steel Panther, das hält mich jedoch nicht davon ab, dem Album 5 Sterne zu geben, da man meiner Meinung nach nie mit der Erwartung rangehen sollte, ein Produkt zu bekommen das bereits existiert und perfekt funktioniert.

    Steel Panther werden ihrem Namen wieder mal gerecht und fabrzierten ein gewohnt trashiges und nicht unbedingt jugendfreies Album. Auch wenn die Texte etwas harmloser ausfallen als in den vorhergehenden Alben, stört es nicht weiter da die Typen so oder so alleine durch ihre Präsenz punkten.
    Bekommt von mir jedenfalls eine Kaufempfehlung!

    Hey ; nach dem ich "all u can eat" von Steel Panther schon hatte war ich gespannt auf ihr neustes Album . Außerdem wollte ich wissen welche Songs mich auf den Kozert erwarten ! Na ja und das Album ist gut / okay - weniger rockig . Natürlich ist ist auch der Hit" Boomtang Boomerang" drauf der voll ins Ohr geht. Sonst ist die Scheibe halt durchschnitt , die Songs sind wie zu erwarten von Steel Panther in schöner "Sex ,Drugs and Rock'n'Roll" manier .... meiner Meinung nach .

Fühlte man sich bei früheren Alben bei bestimmten Songs direkt an die großen Vorbilder erinnert, wirkt das Album auf die Länge gesehen doch sehr durchschnittlich und ein bisschen langweilig. Und, wie gesagt, viel zu brav. Meiner Meinung nach das schlechteste Album der Band. Doch man kann es sich gut anhören. Man sollte aber kein Meisterwerk erwarten!

    Personalmente creo que es de lo mejor de la carrera de esta banda macarra y gamberra de Hard rock_Glam. El disco esta repleto de grandes temas. No se hace monótono ni aburrido en ningún momento, ofreciendo diversidad en sus interpretaciones. La edición es en vinilo verde con portada abierta, donde se encuentran unos dibujos bien recreados y logrados. Le ha faltado en su interior inserto con imagenes de la banda, ya que el disco viene en una funda blanca. Aún así, es una buena edición, y un notable trabajo musical.

    Let me start off by saying I am a huge Steel Panther fan. Being a Panther fan of course I have all of their CDs and the live DVDs. With that being said, Feel the Steel Panthers first album there's definitely the way to come out of the gate as a band, great debut album. Lower the Bar is almost as good. The album has been out for around 2 years now and to me, it has still held up. Sometimes and album seems good to a fan simply because it's new, I have experienced that myself with several bands through the years. This album actually is good, 2 years later. The songs definitely possess the raunchy Steel Panther spirit, and they Rock! Very catchy tunes. I'm not a 10 year old boy, as one reviewer suggested a Steel Panther fan would probably be, but a lifelong rock and roll fan. This album isn't just silly lyrics or smutty lyrics for that matter, but does show off the skill that these guys actually possess as a band. This album, had to come out in the 80s, would have been one of the top sounding albums of that time just due to the musicianship, and catchy hooks. I could go on and on, trying to convince people to buy this, but I won't. I will say that if you enjoy listening to music that's fun and makes you want to bang your head and jam, this is a CD for you!
