Reviewed in Germany on 29 November 2016You get what you buy.

Lemmy MedranoReviewed in Mexico on 30 April 20175.0 out of 5 stars If Heavy Metal Is Dead, Then The Dead Walk The Earth... Heavy Metal Shall Prevail...!!!
Podemos también encontrar algunos temas lentos y pesados como "The Sign Of The Skull" y "Chaos Unleashed". También la dosis de canciones rápidas como "Hail The Godz Of War", "Let There Be Steel". Tenemos también la épica "Beyond The Gates Of Niniveh". "Iron Donkey".
Calificación: 5 estrellas = All Killers No Fillers...!!!
¡666% Recomendable!
Heavy Metal Shall Previal...!!!

Exactly what I wanted. Thrash Metal with good feeling and a unique vocal. All tracks are very good.
Johnny AngelReviewed in the United States on 4 November 20174.0 out of 5 stars A great 20th anniversary speed/power metal release chock full of some great songs with hints of black metal and even hardcore.
Use this as a starting cue:
Gold: Rainbow, Dio, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, etc.
Silver: Manowar, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Iced Earth, Accept, etc.
Bronze: Iron Fire, Hammerfall, Sacred Steel, etc.
It's not Gold, but Bronze isn't always bad by any stretch. Bronze still has many shining moments and has its own value.
This is a fun yet serious, powerful speed metal/power metal record by Sacred Steel. There are even some BRIEF elements of black metal and hardcore (yes, hardcore. Think classic Biohazard riffing and the "gang vocals" - primarily on "The dead Walk the Earth" which is a fantastic slab of metal).
Tons of speed, guitar, fluid solos, powerful double bass drumming by Mathias Straub, and vocalist Gerrit T. Mutz has really come home on this release, belting out a much more rounded and SOLID vocal performance than he ever has before. The man CAN sing, but his voice was one of those "aquired taste" types - think Lemmy, Udo Dirkschneider of Accept, King Diamond, Geddy lee, etc. where with previous releases, he could sound decent in many verses but nasally or corny in others. On this release, his classic identifiable voice is still there - however, he has matured just a hint or two.
I like to think of this as Iron Angel (a classic, but underrated speed metal band out of Germany in the early to mid 80's) updated for the current times. Sacred Steel has a lot of good material, and a large chunk of it can be found on this latest release to celebrate 20+ years. Yes, you at times will hear the cliched power-metal-esq lyrics dealing with bravery, swords, power, and metal, so don't expect Pink Floyd or Zeppelin type lyrics. Don't always judge the music by the lyrical content as even legends like the Beatles had some corny lyric songs.
An enjoyable release that fans of power metal, speed metal, or metal in general will enjoy. Standout tracks: Heavy Metal Sacrifice, Children of the Sky, Vulture Priest, and The Dead Walk the Earth
