Fast Zeitgleich mit der Blu-ray von „Sting“, hat Fremantlemedie auch eine Blu-ray mit Daniel Bryan in den Handel gebracht. Diese trägt den Titel Daniel Byran – Just Say Yes! Yes! Yes! und hat eine Laufzeit von 509 Minuten. Auf der ersten Blu-ray befinden sich neun Matches von 2000 bis 2012, sowie 17 Promos. Hier erfährt der Zuschauer viel über das Werden und Sein des sympathischen Sportlers. Und der Weg war nicht immer einfach, denn die Konkurrenz im Geschäft ist groß. Auch der zweiten Blu-ray sind dann sechs Matches zu sehen und zwar von 2013 bis 2015.

Daniel Bryan wurde mit 18 Jahren für den Ring entdeckt und begann so seine Karriere 1999. Zuvor trainierte er mit Shawn Michaels, der ihn gut auf das Kommende vorbereitete. Nachdem er 2008 ein Dark Match bei RAW bestritt, folgte ein Jahr später ein Vertrag mit der WWE. Schon im Februar 2010 war er bei WWE NXT zu sehen und war mit seinem Mentor The Miz. Allerdings konnte er die kommenden Matches nicht für sich gewinnen. 2010 verließ er die WWE, was nicht an seinen ausbleibenden Erfolg, sondern daran lag, dass er verbotenerweise den Ringsprecher Justin Roberts mit einer Krawatte würgte.

Erst nach über einem Jahr kam er dann in die WWE zurück, wo er bis heute ist. Die letzten Jahre waren durchwachsen. So musste er 2009 sein veganes Leben aufgeben, da sich dieses nicht mit einem Beruf vereinbaren ließ. Zwei Jahre später kam dann sein Glückmoment, als er im April Brianna Garcia-Colace heiratete, die unter dem Namen Brie Bella ebenfalls in der WWE vertreten ist. Am 11. Mai 2015 kam dann das vorzeitige aus für Daniel Bryan, nachdem er aus gesundheitlichen Gründen als Träger des International-Titels zurücktreten musste. Bleibt zu hoffen, dass wir ihn in diesem Jahr wieder im Ring sehen werden.

Wer sich für den Sportler interessiert, bekommt hier einen interessanten Blick in sein Leben geboten. Die Matches wurden gut ausgesucht, das Bonusmaterial beinhaltet neben fünf Bonusmatches noch 17 Promos.

Mit der Bildqualität kann der Zuschauer zufrieden sein. Die Farben wirken frisch und bunt, die Schärfe ist auf einem guten Niveau. Zwar muss man bei den älteren Aufnahmen kleine Abstriche machen, was bei der Schärfe und den leicht blassen Farbe zu erkennen ist. Bei den aktuellen Aufnahmen ist der Kontrast ausgewogen und die Schärfe gut gelungen. So kann man auch bei schnellen Bewegungen keine wirklichen Schwächen erkennen. Beim Ton kann der Zuschauer zwischen einer deutschen und eine englischen Spur wählen. In beiden Spuren sind die Kommentatoren sehr gut zu verstehen, diese werden sauber über die Front wiedergegeben. Die Reaktionen des Publikums (Rufen, Klatschen) werden im Hintergrund gehalten, so dass man die Kommentatoren jederzeit gut verstehen kann.

Aber das Gequatsche vor jedem Kampf... geht gar nicht.
Man kann sogar wählen, ob man nur Matches sehen möchte, aber selbst das ist fast nur Gequatsche.
Ein paar schöne Kämpfe sind drauf, ok. Aber dann teilweise noch geschnitten. Ich bin leider sehr enttäuscht.
Wer sich allerdings auf die Interviews mit Daniel freut, der wird hellauf begeistert sein.
Keine Kaufempfehlung, ganz klar.

You can address him by Daniel Bryan - or his real name of Bryan Danielson as ROH & AEW fans do - but one thing all wrestling fans can agree on, Bryan is simply one of the greatest professional wrestlers/performers of ALL TIME. And although Just Say Yes! Yes! Yes! is somewhat an outdated compilation of his WWE Legacy, it still stands as a fantastic release of Daniel Bryan's amazing accomplishments in World Wrestling Entertainment.

In the past, whenever WWE Home Video produced superstar/legends DVDs/Blu-Rays, it was either in the format of life-story documentary w/matches or a match-compilation featuring interviews. Released in 2015, this two-disc Blu-Ray set actually features both life-story and match-compilation show for Daniel Bryan. The main-feature consists of Daniel's legendary Road to WrestleMania 30 story, as he prepared for the biggest night of his career, as well as looking back on his life and career along the way. Footage from his Ring of Honor career is actually featured here, and there are some bonus scenes in the Road To WrestleMania that weren't featured on the WWE Network.

Like any legendary wrestler, Bryan's story is one that needs to be shared, and reliving the highs & lows of Daniel Bryan's WWE run (from his NXT debut to his ultimate triumph at WrestleMania 30). It's an amazing feature complete with insights from Daniel, his family, friends and co-workers. And the match-compilation afterwards (featuring more discussions from Bryan) makes this release twice as essential for fans.

In terms of matches, you can expect classics against Miz (Night of Champions 2010), Sheamus (Extreme Rules 2012), CM Punk (Money in the Bank 2012), John Cena (SummerSlam 2023), and the legendary main-event from WM30 against Batista and Randy Orton among many more quality-bouts. Sadly, the set does feel incomplete knowing that even though injuries would force Bryan to retire in 2015, he WOULD return to in-ring action in 2018 and cement his legacy as the NEW Daniel Bryan before ultimately leaving WWE in 2021 for AEW.

Nonetheless, Daniel Bryan: Just Say Yes! Yes! Yes! remains a fantastic release of his WWE Legacy. For Bryan Danielson fans (and wrestling fans in general), this Blu-Ray is necessary for your collection.

One of the best WWE documentaries ever accompanied by a whole bunch of great matches & some fantastic interview segments in between with the man himself. I was a little disappointed to see Bryan's match against Bray Wyatt from the 2014 Royal Rumble wasn't included in full seeing as it is not only one of his best WWE matches of all time but the match/night itself was very important to Bryan's WWE career & is even discussed on the main feature. I would've have also liked to see the main feature extended a little more for the home video release but otherwise the blu-ray is amazing & covers pretty much all the best & biggest parts of Bryan's career thus far. Definitely recommended to any Daniel Bryan/WWE fan!
