Super Album, einige sehr gute Songs, ganz untypisch, dennoch gut! Für alle Avenged Sevenfold Fans ein absolutes MUSS! Einfach empfehlenswert.

    Empfehlenswert

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!

After being drawn into Avenged Sevenfold from their more recent tracks like nightmare and natural born killer I was surprised to see how far back the band goes. I can't say I was expecting this sort of screaming sound but I love it! This is totally different to any other screaming I've ever heard and with the addition of their ballad-like track warmness on the soul the album is great to listen to all the way through with no skipping tracks. This is a completely different take on the band but I'm glad I purchased it as the sound is so raw and M. Shadows voice is really shown off in my opinion. Fantastic album don't even hesitate to buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Better Late Than Never!!
Reviewed in the United States on 26 August 2014
I bought this back in May of this year and wanted to take some time to really listen to it. The more I do, the more I like it. This CD is better than I anticipated, and the 5th A7X CD I own. I am also amazed at how good it is considering they were about 19-20 years old at the time, did not have professional level equipment, and didn't have much help at the time. The disc is raw, but gives you an early glimpse of how brilliant and talented they were even back then. Waking the Fallen is my favorite musical disc of all time, and I had to hear what they made before that. Everybody kept saying how the entire album is screaming, but it actually isn't. They sing on quite a few songs, and in classic early A7X fashion, the songs change throughout and you never know what to expect. The screaming is awesome and I am positive I hear quite a bit of The Rev screaming as well. I really enjoy "Darkness Surrounding", "Lips of Deceit", "An Epic of Time Wasted", and "Shattered By Broken Dreams". If you are like me and came late to the A7X party, and are wanting to catch up on what you missed earlier in their careers, I highly recommend you get this. I am very happy I did. Love it.
