Nach dem Defekt unserer alten Espressomaschine und der damit einhergehenden Neuanschaffung, entschieden wir uns, auch die Mühle Rommelsbacher EKM 200 zu ersetzen. Der Mahlgrad war sehr grob und unbefriedigend für Espresso.Trotz der vielen schlechten Rezensionen entschieden wir uns diese Kaffeemühle von Graef zu bestellen und sind sehr positiv überrascht. Sowohl von der Materialanmutung, vom Mahlgrad als auch von der im Vergleich recht niedrigen Lautstärke.Im Vergleich mit der alten Mühle ist dieses Gerät in allen Bereichen eine deutliche Verbesserung. Bei unserem Gerät werden die Bohnen auf feinster Stufe nahezu zu Staub gemahlen und auf der gröbsten Stufe immernoch etwas feiner als auf der feinsten Einstellungsstufe der EKM. Ein großes Plus ist für mich auch die Automatikfunktion, bei der frisch und direkt in den Siebträger gemahlen werden kann.Auch Geschmacklich ein himmelweiter Unterschied. Sicherlich mag es noch viel bessere Mühlen und auch Espressomaschinen geben, jedoch würden wir uns als Kaffeetrinker bezeichnen, welche zwar sehr gerne Kaffee genießen ohne dabei jedoch ein ewig langes Ritual zu zelebrieren oder uns jedes Mal in diversen Geräteeinstellungen verlieren zu müssen.

    Ich benutze die Graef CM 800 Kaffeemühle nun seit fast einem Jahr täglich, und ich könnte nicht zufriedener mit diesem Produkt sein. Die Qualität dieser Mühle ist einfach hervorragend. Sie hat eine solide Bauweise und ein elegantes Design, das nicht nur auf meiner Küchenarbeitsplatte großartig aussieht, sondern sich auch langlebig und gut verarbeitet anfühlt.

    Ein herausragendes Merkmal ist ihre gleichmäßige und präzise Mahlleistung, die für die Zubereitung eines perfekten Espressos entscheidend ist. Die Graef CM 800 bietet eine breite Palette von Mahlgradeinstellungen, sodass ich die Mahlgröße genau an meine spezielle Espressomaschine und meine Kaffeewünsche anpassen kann. Das Kegelmahlwerk sorgt für ein gleichmäßiges Mahlen, was den Geschmack und das Aroma des Kaffees erheblich verbessert.

    Der Bohnenbehälter hat eine gute Kapazität, und der Auffangbehälter für den gemahlenen Kaffee ist so gestaltet, dass er Verschüttungen minimiert. Besonders schätze ich den leisen Betrieb dieser Mühle, besonders am frühen Morgen, wenn ich niemanden aufwecken möchte.

    Die Bedienung und Wartung sind ebenfalls sehr einfach. Die Mühle lässt sich leicht reinigen, mit abnehmbaren Teilen, die den Prozess schnell und unkompliziert machen.

    Insgesamt hat die Graef CM 800 meine Erwartungen in jeder Hinsicht übertroffen. Sie liefert konstant hochwertige Ergebnisse und hat mein tägliches Kaffeeritual zu einem Vergnügen gemacht. Ich bin äußerst zufrieden mit diesem Kauf und würde sie jedem empfehlen, der eine zuverlässige und effiziente Kaffeemühle sucht.

    Wie auch viele andere Nutzer hier, habe ich einen guten Mitspieler für meine DeLonghi EC 685.M Dedica gesucht. Der Preis einer guten Espressomühle sollte dem Espressoautomaten angemessen sein. Die goldene Regel genauso viel Geld für die Mühle auszugeben, wie für die Espressomaschine selbst, kann ich nur unterstützen. Wer hier spart, kauft oft zwei mal... Die CM 800 ist somit eine ideale Ergänzung. Die 40 unterschiedlichen Mahlgrade sind aber für Espresso-Liebhaber eher uninteressant, da sich für das feine Espressomehl eh nur die Einteilung zwischen 0-10 abspielt. Ist dann natürlich auch immer je nach Bohne (immer frische Bohnen vom Röster eures Vertrauens kaufen) nachzujusieren. Wenn aber der optimale Mahlgrad gefunden ist, macht sie konstant gutes Kaffeemehl und der Espresso gelingt somit konstant gut (tolle Crema!).

    Aber wer French-press zubereitet oder auch Filterkaffee ist hier natürlich auch mehr als gut bedient, wobei dann sicher auch eine günstigere Mühle mit Schlagwerk ausreichen dürfte.

    Die CM 800 arbeitet dagegen mit einem Kegelmahlwerk. Das ist eine spezielle Form des Scheibenmahlwerks. Es kommen zwei Kegel zum Einsatz. Bei einem Scheibenmahlwerk wird das Kaffeepulver nur mittels Zentrifugalkraft durch die Mahlscheiben bewegt. Bei einem Kegelmahlwerk erzeugt die Erdanziehungskraft die Bewegung des Mahlguts. Dadurch kommt das Kegelmahlwerk mit geringeren Drehzahlen aus und die Kaffeebohnen erhitzen sich nicht so stark wie bei höheren Drehzahlen. Die sanften Aromen im Kaffee bleiben erhalten (so die Theorie).

    Die Bedienung der CM 800 ist aber wirklich sehr einfach. Der Geräuchpegel hingegen ist schon sehr laut, zum Leidwesen meiner Frau ;-) Auch die Reinigung ist leider nicht ganz so trivilal. Man bekommt die Abdeckung zwar leicht ab, jedoch selbst mit dem Pinsel ist es dann doch schon recht mühsam, das komplette Kaffeemehl zu entfernen. Bitte auch aufpassen: Im Auswurfbreich befindet sich ein Aluminiumstreifen, der ein "Nachtrieseln" von Mehl verhindern soll. Deshalb bitte nicht mit dem Pinsel von unten (außen) reingehen. Auch befindet sich im Inneren ein Taster, auf den beim Zusammenbau zu achten ist. Dieser stellt sichern, dass die Aufnahme der Kaffeebohnen installiert ist, bevor das Mahlwerk anfängt zu mahlen.

    Fazit: Insgesammt bin ich recht zufrieden, wobei ich mir trozdem schon jetzt eine Mühle von Mahlkönig & Co. wünsche... aber da muss ich dann doch noch etwas sparen... genauso wie für den hoffentlich nächsten Dual Boiler Espressoautomaten... denn wie gesagt, der Preis sollte ja Geräteabhängig immer passen ;-)
