How can I get from "no answer at all" to Yes? How can I turn rejection into a personal triumph?

My ebook's unusual approach is that it answers these and more questions in form of 'real' stories, which the reader can follow and apply. This is a fun and useful story book, not a complicated step-by-step program. NAKED DETERMINATION is written for people of the 21st century, who read to create their own applications.

Dear Sugar (The Angel of Death)

Dear Sugar Review from Dennis Fleming

Read this short. You are in talented hands. October 30, 2012
By Dennis Fleming
Amazon Verified Purchase
The author chose to write this short, her third in her "Angel of Death" series, in the epistolary genre. I'm so glad she did. This is an enjoyable piece to read, and the form serves the story well. The idea of people communicating by writing and mailing letters to each other seems archaic in our 21st century email world. But timing is so important in the story, and it's the timing and the limitation of correspondence to snail mail that works magic in this thoroughly enchanting work of short fiction.
"Dear Sugar" reminds me how easy it is to fall in love with not only the food, delicioso!, but all things Italian. While I sat comfortably and enjoyed reading about the food and the people and the countryside, all the things the author packs into the limited amount of story space, I failed to see the Angel of Death coming (Isn't that how it should be?) When it came, I cried. Spontaneously. Me, the ex-Marine.
This is one fine piece of literature. Fiction is supposed to work like this. Artificiality that gets at human truth. It works and works well. And Ms. Fritz has her work cut out for her if she aims to top this. It's a shame it is a short work of fiction, because I know I can write a very long review. But in writing that long review, I'll tell the whole story, and that will defeat my purpose here, which is to try to persuade you to read this little piece of fiction. It is a touching story, full of love, and told by a talented writer. She knows what to show us and what to hide from us. I'm impressed. I figure you will be as well.
There is so much going on in this deceptively simple, very quick read. It's like waiting for a slow pitch on a warm summer afternoon and realizing that the loud "smack" you heard is from that 100 mph fastball that just hit your glove. Wow, that stings! But it only hurts for few seconds.

Hi, I would like to introduce my dark fantasy/action adventure novel Dark Waters. Dark Waters (English Edition)

Fantasy series Dark Waters (volume one) tells the story of Malichi, a man forged in the heat of battle, who is on a quest for justice. As Malichi travels across Amalyian lands with his loyal sidekick Xavier by his side he battles a nightmarish, blood thirsty race of shapeshifters. They have dark, stretched leathery skin, razor sharp teeth, long lethal talons and a barbed tail making them the perfect predator. Amongst the Amalyian shapeshifters is one so vile that he cannot rest until he brings her to justice, but as Malichi tries to bring peace to the world, the Amalyians plot against him. Will the Amalyians defeat him?

It is a Van Helsing meets Hercules kind of tale but with shapeshifters, swords, horseback and strong male and female characters. If you like Sam Raimi then this may be your cup of tea. Happy reading.

FREE until midnight: The Screen Conspiracy (English Edition)

True, middle-aged Jack Halpin knew little of the internet, neither its potential nor its danger. Notwithstanding that, how could he possibly have foreseen the impact it would have on his life? One day he’s living a life of unfulfilled promise in an unhappy marriage, with regular exchanges like:

“A promotion?” Poppy’s eyes lit in anticipation. Maybe her husband was going somewhere at last.
“No, not exactly.”
Before he could continue, Poppy interjected sharply.
“What does not exactly mean, either it’s a promotion or it’s not. Have you forgotten the difference?”

How could a life so ordinary turn so quickly to:

“Half way across the open plain, Jack heard the hovering sound of two helicopters approaching fast. They whipped the horses with all their might. The woodland was less than two hundred yards away. What sounded like the stuttering of an engine surrounded them. Jack looked towards Ana who was keeping pace on Princess. The engine grew louder. Princess bolted and threw Ana to the ground. The sound he had mistaken for an engine was the ricocheting of bullets along the caked ground in their trail.”

The answer to Jack’s dilemma lies somewhere in the internet. If he is to survive, he will first need to uncover a conspiracy which runs right to the heart of the Senate. Then he needs to figure out what to do with that knowledge which has left a trail of murders in its wake.

"This is a very fast paced book. Even if you do not know anything about computers, even if you do not believe in conspiracy theories, this is an excellent action book. From blackmail to child abuse , rotten cops & rotten politicians, money laundering , betrayal, patriotism and murder, you have it all. And unexpectedly, a tiny touch of romance from people you would not think of."

"It was a very fast moving and excellent story. I thought that the author covered some unpleasant aspects in the story without going into too much detail, which made it a more pleasant read for me personally."

"This author has an amazing grasp of his subject. One of the most interesting and educating thrillers I've read in a long time."

Hi everyone! Hope you're doing well. My name is Alex Just and I have just published my first Young Adult novel up on Amazon; Echoes of The Past (Mayan Prophecies) It was actually written for the most part, in Germany in the Black forest, from which I got a lot of inspiration! A bit about myself, well I grew up in various different places, the most recent having been New Zealand, and then after high school I moved to Germany where I worked and started writing in earnest. If you do decide to check it out, please leave a comment to tell me how you liked it! Its the first book in a trilogy, which is a fantasy spin-off of the Mayan Prophecies with a young adult adventure style permeating the story. The main idea is to introduce the characters and build up the story, to be carried on in the second book which should be ready next July.
Thanks and happy reading,

The Empress of Australia: A Post-War Memoir Free

In the winter of 1948, a post-war darkness felled Britain and happiness, like sweets, was tightly rationed. So begins Harry Leslie Smith’s bitter-sweet memoir: The Empress of Australia which depicts life in post-war Yorkshire. Recently demobbed from the RAF, Smith and his German war bride must try to adjust to a civilian society that is scarred from not only the war but the harsh reality of living in peacetime Britain.
At first, Harry Leslie Smith finds himself ill equipped for this brave new world where Britain has lost its empire and is bankrupt. Yet, like so many other returning veterans from the Second World War, Smith stumbled onwards through the era known as the “Age of Austerity” to confront the horrors of his childhood and the innate injustice of a society divided by class.
Harry Leslie Smith sketches a real, sometimes amusing and sometimes melancholic portrait of Britain in the late 1940s. In his book, Smith speaks for all generations who have faced untold hardships in their quest for dignity and purpose during times of financial, political and familial upheaval. The Empress of Australia is a personal history of one man’s journey towards self discovery and freedom from row house Britain.

Sometimes, after the war, peace is the hardest battle to survive.
