Dystopian sci-fi thriller B-spine: fractured is available free this weekend (01, 02 September). Combining environmental concerns with a kick-ass action storyline, it was reviewed in SFX magazine, which said it's "Guaranteed to keep you clutching your Kindle till the end".

It’s 2098 in the North American Union and biotechnology isn't creating a better tomorrow, it's maintaining a cold, dark and bloody today. A crumbling dystopia of breathing buildings and weaponized insects, where corporations rule cities and mercenaries conduct business takeovers at gunpoint. But unless Kirsty Powell can discover what really happened at Arclights nightclub, it's a future that ends for her in seven days…

She knows how to spot malfunctioning livedrives... it's her job. Their hardware linkages wear out, their wetware components succumb to disease, parasites and age. But to see one notch up a bodycount on a nightclub dancefloor, that’s a first. No one was supposed to see that. Kirsty wishes she hadn't.

B-spine is a fast-paced cyberpunk technothriller that pitches an unlikely heroine into an unwinnable battle against the men who control an all-too-believable alternate future. Its combination of biotech weaponry and street-level police procedural plotting makes it a violent, visceral ride... Children of Men meets The Wire.

Try my new book, They Call Me...Montey Greene. Outside of the shootouts, chases and physical confrontations it's a unique take on the mystery-suspense-thriller genre with a unique type of hero. As a Hollywood Literary Manager whose read thousands of screenplays and manuscripts over the years I too wanted to experience something unique, where you wouldn't guess the ending until the ending, and still had some commercial appeal to it. When I couldn't find it - I wrote it. Give it a shot. It's available on kindle at a special promotional discounted rate. Or look for the paperback releasing the first week of September 2012.

Thirty British troops a week are seeking medical help, toll of combat in Afghanistan.
A total of 3,021were diagnosed with `Adjustment disorder' between May 2010 and April 2012.
Symptoms include self harming, drug abuse and anxiety attacks.

The Dancing Boy is a fictional account of one such man who refused to acknowledge these symptoms.

With the Afghan heat blinding his sight with sweat, Tom Gillet, a young British soldier is dragged back from an IED by Shafiq, a small Afghan boy. Luckily he lost a foot and not his life.
Shafiq wasn't so fortunate. His family was murdered by the Taliban as a warning to those who helped the coalition forces, and he was sold into a child trafficking ring as a dancing boy.
Discharged from the army and on the threshold of PTSD Gillet, takes it upon himself to return to Afghanistan to search for the boy in the hope of finding him a better life.
But what he encounters is betrayal, lies, and the horrors of a world he never knew existed.

All In

Carla was young and beautiful and would do anything to be rich. Not much wrong with that, provided she could move on from a troubled past.
Her only way out was playing high stakes poker, using Fat Yang as her mentor. Trouble is, it wasn't a game of cards that Fat Yang had in mind for her. It was something far more sinister.
Fortunately for her, she discovers his intentions, and hatches a plan to turn the tables.

Second Chances (Prequel to 'Absolutely Done') by Dominae Primus. Entertaining mock fairy tale with heart, peppered with slam bang action, laughter and a bit of romance! Second Chances (Prequel to 'Absolutely Done') explores Absolute's adventures and the interesting mix of characters he meets in order to thwart a daring assassination without arousing suspicion of his special powers. This fable blends action comedy with imagination and attitude. Second Chances (Prequel to 'Absolutely Done') is a vivid tale that can easily be portrayed as an animated feature. A mock fairy tale with enough action, comedy, wit and imagination to make you root for the chief characters.

Granary County. Rollicking take of the western genre presented with humour and attitude! Perfect entertainment for a good laugh. Don't be surprised if you want to read it again soon! A tribute to the spaghetti western genre, where the good sheriff and lawmen fight evil villains. This is a witty, entertaining, action filled romp in the style of a shoot them up western adventure with an edible twist. The characters in this imaginative satire are delicious with a deadly attitude to boot! Absolutely Done is a paranormal action adventure with spirituality, mythology and well timed witty humour.

In Absolutely Done, the protagonist, Absolute, a rebel Angel is recruited for the unenviable task of stepping into the Grim Reaper'€™s shoes for the time being. Absolute wants for nothing of this world, but the divine right of earning his keep as a competent enforcer of order in a world wracked by chaos & greed. Presented in frame after frame of action interspersed with humour, Absolute's adventures lead him to bloodshed, discovery & personal triumph. In his role as the Angel of Death, Absolute finds ample room for his mischievous wit while being thorough in his execution of duty. Absolutely Done is an adventure, action comedy that is as full of slam bang action as it is in terms of witty comic exchanges, wise cracking and spirituality with a nod to mythology. Light enough for the casual reader, engaging for audiences looking beyond flash and explosions and intense enough in action for those who wish to have a cinematic feel of brawn and adrenaline. The prequel of Absolutely Done is Second Chances (Prequel to 'Absolutely Done'). Get Absolutely Done and Second Chances (Prequel to 'Absolutely Done') today.

Another 5 star review for The Dancing Boy

Thirty British troops a week are seeking medical help, toll of combat in Afghanistan.
A total of 3,021were diagnosed with `Adjustment disorder' between May 2010 and April 2012.
In places such as the US it is significantly higher.
Symptoms include self harming, drug abuse and anxiety attacks.
This is an account of a man, who to the detriment of his family and personal security refuses point blank to acknowledge these symptoms.

The Dancing Boy
Blinded by the heat, Tom Gillet, a British soldier is dragged back from an IED by Shafiq, a small Afghan boy. Luckily he lost a foot and not his life.
Shafiq wasn't so fortunate. His family was murdered by the Taliban as a warning to those who helped the coalition forces, and he was sold into a child trafficking ring as a dancing boy.
Discharged from the army and on the threshold of PTSD Gillet feels forced to return to Afghanistan to search for the boy in the hope of finding him a better life.
But what he encounters is a world full of shock, betrayal and lies.
Returning home to the UK he finds himself drawn into the horrors of something he never knew existed behind the closed doors of immigrant Britain.

The Dancing Boy

After losing a foot in Afghanistan, ex-soldier, Tom Gillet, returns to search for the young boy Shafiq, who saved his life by pulling him back from an IED. Aware Shafiq has been sold into child sex slavery as a dancing boy he plans to get the boy out of the country to safety. Close to achieving his aim Gillet is captured by Al Qaeda, taken to the Tora Bora caves on the Afghan/Pakistan border and forced under the threat of death to appear on video discrediting the coalition. Managing to escape, he begins a one man battle against the human trafficking of children into the UK with stunning results.
This book unashamedly gives an insight into just one country's guilt. A crime against humanity it exists in most other so called civilised countries and flourishes. It is a story of events from which people turn away as if it never existed.
Labelled a dark story, it serves to throw a light on the evil men do if left unchecked.
Available on Smashwords.

J. Randall meint:
If you like exotic locals you'll enjoy Gamal's Assassin. The characters are memorable and the bad guys are deadly. It takes place three years after The Imam of the Cave and reunites Bill Holden and Bob Tilden in a fast paced thriller.

At an archaeological dig in a barriada on the outskirts of Lima, Peru, a grave robber murders a Quechuan family to steal from a grave beneath their shack artifacts that will come to be regarded as those of Tupac Amaru, the last indigenous leader of the Inca state in Peru. In the robber's haste, he overlooks Tupac's death mask.

The lead archaeologist and his intern, Bob Tilden, who can identify the grave robber, travel to Brazil, site of a rumored auction. They arrive too late but learn that "the Portuguese," a dealer in stolen artifacts, has sold them to a mysterious, fabulously wealthy man known as "the Egyptian."

Bob enlists the help of his former boss, Bill Holden. Bill hopes that his contacts in Europe will lead them to the identity of the Egyptian and sends Bob to Rome. Bob learns that the Egyptian's name is Gamal Zaghul.

Together they fly to Saudi Arabia to consult with Bill's steadfast friend Medhat. Medhat's inquiries inadvertently alert the Egyptian, and when Medhat hears that someone is coming from Cairo to investigate, he contacts a tribal cousin for help. The cousin helps Medhat, Bill and Bob flee into the desert on camels. They hire a boat to Egypt and contact a cousin of Medhat's who works at a hotel in Cairo and is able to help them infiltrate a reception at the Egyptian's.

They lure the Egyptian to the pyramids in Giza with an offer to sell him the death mask. Instead they kidnap him and exchange him for the artifacts. In cold-blooded rage, the Egyptian dispatches his sadistic assassin, Samir, to find them, recover the relics and exact vengeance.

Gamal's Assassin was originally published under the title `Death Mask'.

Gamal's Assassin is a full length novel, 70,000 words long.

Here are two more exciting novels from the author The Imam of the Cave and Trip Wire.

Fantasy series Dark Waters (volume one) tells the story of Malichi, a man forged in the heat of battle, who is on a quest for justice. As Malichi travels across Amalyian lands with his loyal sidekick Xavier by his side he battles a nightmarish, blood thirsty race of shapeshifters. Amongst the Amalyian shapeshifters is one so vile that he cannot rest until he brings her to justice, but as Malichi tries to bring peace to the world, the Amalyians plot against him. Will the Amalyians defeat him?
