I am aware of the fact that it is very hard for indie authors to promote their books. I am also aware of the fact that amazon.de does not (yet) enforce the rules for authors regarding promotion of their books as .com does. Therefore I completely get that you guys regard .de as one of the places where you can peddle your wares and I don't begrudge you that right.
BUT I would dearly love for you people to show some regard to common decency. Please, do not kill the forum. This is a very small place where German native speakers who like to read books in English or would like to polish up their English can exchange opinions and tips. We -- and I am quite sure that I can and do speak for quite a few others -- like this forum as a readers' forum. So, if promotion for your book really is a valuable contribution to a thread, by all means, let us know (and while we are at it -- say that you are selling because otherwise I for one sure as hell am not buying because it is freaking annoying!). If not, well, I don't like to be rude but STFU. Please do not open up discussion threads for your book that nobody but maybe other authors will ever answer to. Please, stop insulting us by using some freebie online translation machine and try to sell English books in unspeakably bad German. Pl... and no, I'm done begging here, stop spamming us! I am certainly not the forum police but I used to enjoy this forum and now I don't and quite frankly -- it sucks.
FYI there finally is a MOA forum on http://amazon.de
Starting March 15th 2012 the same restrictions for self-promotion by authors as enforced on .com and .co.uk will be applied on all the other fora.
