Habe nun endlich diese Ohrhörer erhalten. Verarbeitung finde ich ganz ox, leider kein gewinkelter Anschlussstecker aber die Kabel machen einen robusten Eindruck. Die Silikonadapter sind in 3 Grössen vorhanden, wobei die Kleinen mir am Meisten zusagen und auch nicht drücken. Nebengeäusche der Umwelt dringen nicht mehr ans Ohr, muss man selbst entscheiden ob man das möchte, auch die von manchen beurteilten "Eigengeräusche" halten sich bei diesem Model in Grenzen. Der Klang ist sehr Basslastig, aber mein Nano hat ja genügend EQ-Einstellungen, somit habe ich auch eine passende für meine Klangwelt gefunden, die die Höhen etwas besser rausbringt.

Also ich finde das Preis-Leistungverhältnis sehr angebracht für dieses produkt. Das mitgelieferte cahs bewahrt die Hörer und kleines Zubehör gut auf.

Angenehm zu tragende Stöpsel. Der Klang ist meiner Meinung nach gut. Die Bässe sind satt, allerdings könnten die höhen verbessert werden. Für den Großteil meiner Musik benutze ich sowieso individuelle EQ- Einstellungen, daher stört mich das nicht weiter. Das Design gefällt mir besonders gut. Auch das Case ist Praktisch und groß genug für mein Shuffle und die Stöpsel. Umgebungsgeräusche bei mittlerer Lautstärke sind nicht zu hören. Hörer fallen nicht so leicht aus dem Ohr ohne die Stöpsel ins Ohr zu versenken. Der Preis und die Verarbeitung sind noch

O.K wobei ich nichts gegen eine Preissenkung einzuwenden hätte. Fazit: Gut .

Ich hatte mir die EarThumps als Ergänzung zum schwarzen iPod nano dazubestellt. Ernüchtert stellte ich fest, dass der Klang nicht mal an die mitgelieferten Apple-eigenen Hörer rankommt - praktisch keine Bässe und kaum Höhen. Die Umgebungsgeräusche werden nicht sonderlich gut abgeschirmt, dafür sind die Kappen wohl zu hart. Alles in allem ein sehr schwaches Produkt, sogar für den niedrigen Preis.

Great earbuds for a decent price! Certainly not 'audiophile' calibre, but mid-range, and the sound is well-balanced PLUS they seem to last a long time. These black ones are to replace a white pair that finally gave out after 12 years. So far, these replacements are 'delivering the goods'.

I own five or six sets of earbuds and I have to say that the Griffin EarThumps are my preferred pair. I am not an audiophile, and in fact have trouble finding words to describe the nuances that differentiate the variety of earbuds. Here's my best effort to support my findings:

Pros:

- The EarThumps have a very full sound, most of which is due to its excellent bass reproduction. The treble levels are also good, but at times can be overshadowed by the heavyness of the overall sound. It's a tradeoff happily made for a high quality sound.
- They fit my ears perfectly, and come with different size caps to make sure of it. They are the lowest profile of all my earbuds (how far they stick out of my ears), so if I rest my head on a pillow or sideways on my arm, the earbuds don't bother me.
- They come with a durable zipper pouch for storage. That may not seem important, but I have other more expensive earbuds that didn't come with one, and they are just laying around in a heap on my desk.
- They are very economical. $20 for a pair of earbuds that sound and feel this good is a wonderful value.

Cons:

- The full bass sound can be a bit much when listening for long periods of time (hours). As noted above, it can also overshadow distinctive high notes and details in the music, which I ignorantly call treble.

Comparisons:

- Apple In-Ear Headphones (White) There's no comparison here... they cannot fit comfortably in my ears so they are ruled out right away.
- JBuds J2 Premium Hi-FI Noise Isolating Earbuds (Onyx Black) Despite the name, these do not eliminate outside noise to isolate the music as well as the EarThumps do. They also have a bigger profile, less bass range, but better treble detail. I rate these 4 out of 5 stars.
- Woodees IESW100B Inner-ear Stereo Earphone with Microphone These look great, feel good (not as good as the EarThumps), and have excellent detail and range. They seemed to be a good mix inbetween the EarThumps and the JBuds. They have a deeper profile, so laying your head down sideways with them absolutely won't work. They cost a lot more! I rate these 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Overall, I'm happiest with the EarThumps. I can't stress enough how important it should be to get earphones that sound great (they do!), feel great (they do!) and are priced right (they are!).

"i'm just worried it may not last me more than a year..." is what i wrote in my review right after i got these earbuds. turns out, they only lasted me 5 months. i took special care to not bend or stress the wire, knowing that inexpensive earbuds like these tend to have shoddier construction. but, given that they were griffin, i gave it the benefit of the doubt and the low price point was also pretty attractice. they were working fine, great in fact, until this morning when i noticed that it would only play in one ear (jiggling the wire made it go in and out). i thought that maybe it was just a temporary thing, but sure it enough the same thing happened when i plugged them into my computer. i have the warranty still, but at this point i think i'd rather just invest in a more expensive pair that would probably last me (seeing as how i've gone through four $10 sets of headphones in a little more than a year). should have just gone with the pricier but better quality ones from the start...

My husband and I have been using these for a couple of years now and we love them. We've gone through several pairs. They have excellent sound quality and they stay in my ears through my many miles of jogging. My only complaint is that one side inevitably shorts out after about 6 months of use. This is been an issue with headphones/earbuds for as long as I've been listening to them. I remember the same thing happening listening to my portable CD player or walkman as a teenager so it's nothing new. I have yet to find a set of headphones whose wires DON'T short out after several months of use. That being said, they're easy to replace at $10 a pop, so I consider it a fairly minor complaint.

First of all, I ordered the White Griffin Ear Thumps and received Black ones. I kept them because my ipod has a black case. I was not impressed with the sound quality of the EarThumps. From the many reviews that I read, I was expecting better sound. Don't get me wrong, it's probably the best you'd get for twenty dollars but some of the reviews I read claimed excellent bass response which I do not feel comes close to the original ipod earbuds. The EarThumps do not hurt my ears like the ipod earbuds do after sitting in my ear for a while. I like the soft rubber covers. What I don't like is that they fall out quite easily. I've tried the different size inserts in my ear, sitting them different ways, but every way that I try to place them, they still fall out very easily. Any slight pull on the cord or any sudden turn of my head and out they fly.
