It can be used as an accessory to PC cases for the purpose of connecting devices to a SATA SlimLine interface, such as CD/DVD drives. In decktop computers, 5.25" drives are mainly mounted in bays. The PC cases adapted to the SLIM construction are currently gaining an interest in these cases used on laptops. The Slimline AK-CA-45 adapter allows easy connection.

    Mit ein wenig Bastelarbeit gute Alternative für Fujitsu Esprimo Q556
    Ich habe das Kabel für das DVD-Laufwerk meines Fujitsu Esprimo Q556 benötigt. Das original-Kabel kostet circa 30 €, für dieses hier habe ich gerade einmal 4,03 € bezahlt.Man muss lediglich den Molex-Stecker durch einen JST ersetzen (dafür braucht man natürlich eine Crimp-Zange und die Stecker) und hat einen voll funktionstüchtigen Ersatz.ABER: Ich habe davor gemessen und für meinen Anwendungszweck wären die beworbenen 20 cm Kabel perfekt gewesen. Das Kabel ist allerdings nur ca 15 cm lang und ich habe den PC gerade noch so zusammengebaut bekommen. Daher nur 3 Sterne.
