This is a somewhat unusual 5* review.
I bought this back in Feb as had always been happy with the quality and performance of previous Corsair PSUs, and when I needed a new little one, happily gave them my money.
Last week it made a very exciting 'bang' noise tripped my RCD and was quite categorically 'dead'.
"Arse"
At this point I girded myself for some convoluted repair process and consulted the Corsair warranty site as to my options. The nudge seemed to be to "try where you bought it from" - so with little hope I decided to engage with amazon's online help feature the product seemed to have.
Within maybe 5 mins, I'd got a full credit to my account (no return required) and had a replacement ordered to arrive the next day - which as it's a modular PSU, took about 5 mins to install.
Quick google didn't reveal that there was some faulty batch of PSUs out there, my dead one was just a freak anomaly (stuff happens, I can accept this). What really impressed me was how Corsair (and/or Amazon) had put in place customer service that dealt with it in the most pain-free way I've ever experienced with any faulty product.
It's really a quite magnificent feat of customer service, that I'm leaving a 5* review for how they handled a failure, when I couldn't be bothered to leave one when the product was just working as I expected.
