5.0 von 5 Sternen Easy reading and well done! 25. Juli 2014

In few words: easy reading and fast how-tos!

If you need a book to discover quickly best new features brought from JBoss community, this book is what you need.
There is a chapter dedicated to the CLI and the new modular service and class loading. Well explained.
The book also explains how to configure your WildFly and get it up and running.
By the way, keep in mind that is a short book (113 effective pages), is not a reference book or a complete guide, so think of it as a pocket guide.

Highly recommended if you want start using WildFly 8.

The best and fastest way to learn and test the Wildfly's new features.
The book covers the main configurations steps to get the server running in standalone or domain mode with practical samples very easy to understand.
For the users that already knows JBoss AS 7 it's a pocket guide to discover the new features and the changes necessary to migrate the applications.
The Chapter 4 (Modular Services and Class Loading) explain in details how the class loading of the application server works, the base for a better resource optimization in application server. Better for the fans of maven. Helped me to create a groovy's global module for the applications in groovy language and reduce some megabytes in final war and ear deployments.

This book is extremely useful to be updated on the WildFly edition and its features.
Chapters I found interesting are dedicated to:
- the migration from jboss7 to WildFly: which aspects of your code must be rewritten
- memory and thread pool management: how the java memory is divided and how to finetune WildFly
- the Command Line Interface (CLI): extreme powerful tool to interact with WildFly and could be use inside scripts for management/control tasks
This easy to read book gives you a quick overview to WildFly from installation to its configuration.
