Sitchin's expertise is in the linguistics of Sumer and the Middle East. In WHEN TIME BEGAN he focuses on Stonehenge offering interesting speculation on ancient astronomy. However, he fails to prove his case for extraterrestrial intervention. For a more enlightened examination of Stonehenge read John Michell's SECRETS OF THE STONES. For a more viable theory on the worldwide spread of ancient cultures read ATLANTIS IN AMERICA: Navigators of the Ancient World by Ivar Zapp and George Erikson.

Once again Zecharia Sitchin uses his broad-based knowledge of history, science and religion to advance our understanding of fundamental concepts. This book is not an "easy read". Sitchin is not afraid to use mathematics to make his point at times, and make it he does. If you crave a deeper understanding of calendrical and astrological principles and their origin, you need to read this book. But, be ready to spend some time getting a grasp of the fundamentals! It is helpful to be thoroughly familiar with the rest of the "Earth Chronicles", there are many subjects that overlap. Highly recommended.

Like ALL of his books, this one too is amazing, compelling, persuasive, enlightening, builds rationally and logically to each of its points BUT (there's alway a "but")is a bit difficult to read. Also, as with ALL his books, Zecharia draws his concise conclusions by bringing the knowledge of many sciences together. It is a must read for anyone with an open mind and thirst for knowledge.

Of course no other scholars are going to bring in the possibility of life elsewhere. To do so, would be to lose grant money. But there is a 12th planet and everything else matches. So just because one cannot take the truth, don't name call the truth bringer. And..who doesn't write for money?

Sitchin must be an alien. He is obviously writing books to
make money. That is his true motivation. He is in disagreement
with some of the best archeologists of this century.

Wake up! The guy is out to make a profit and laugh on his way
to the bank.

This book, and I've read them all, is terrific! The signs are so obvious, modern archeologists would be well advised to read Sitchin before they take themselves too seriously!

Die ersten 5 Bücher haben mich sehr fasziniert und sie haben mir bestens gefallen. Es ist klar, dass man offen sein muss, um auch andere Ansichten gelten zu lassen.
