Critically acclaimed journalist Daniel Bergner turns everything we thought we knew about women's arousal and desire inside out. Drawing on extensive research and interviews with scientists and everyday women, he forces us to reconsider long-held notions about female sexuality.
As he explores the answers to a number of fascinating questions, Bergner debunks myths and looks at the future of female sexuality, including the possibility of a "female Viagra." He goes behind the scenes of some of the most groundbreaking experiments on sexuality today and confronts us with controversial, sometimes uncomfortable findings.
Incendiary, profoundly insightful, and brilliantly illuminating, What Do Women Want? will change the conversation about women and sex, and is sure to spark debate for years to come.-- Dieser Text bezieht sich auf eine andere Ausgabe: Taschenbuch. Alle Produktbeschreibungen

That being said, these 50 or so pages are filled with very good research. The studies and experiments discussed are fascinating, and also important. In a way the book can be used as a starting point or reference work to gain an overview of the research being done and to find further information.
One last critical point on the chapter discussing animal sexuality: the author seems to be transfixed by rat sexuality, to the point that it got a little annoying. Simply because rats do X or Y does not mean that this is in any way significant for human sexuality. The author seems to have forgotten this. The chapter would have been better spent discussing bonobo sexuality, which really does have implications for human sexuality.
The description of "What Do Women Want" seems like a 1-1 copy of the theses laid out by the original "Sex At Dawn". I thus highly recommend the very
thought-provoking and great-to-read "Sex At Dawn".
