WIDOW (English Edition) Kindle Ausgabe
First her husband killed their children, then himself. Now she's on her own, and she's bent on making sure it never happens to another woman. It's too late for her…she's already damaged. Yet when she stops the evil she's felt compelled to commit, the murders continue. Someone is a copycat, pinning crimes on her, stalking her, teasing her with his devious plan. She can't make him stop. There may be no way out of the trap she's created out of loss, out of desperation.
There's another problem--she's falling in love with the detective who is in charge of tracking her down. Life is a complex series of paradoxes, a spiral of fear and murder where nothing is as it seems.
"A unique knife-edged page-turner, as dark as the alleys of the Houston demi-monde in which the moral twists of its inventive plot play out. Don't miss this one." - Paul Wilson, author of SIBS and THE SELECT.
"Taut, riveting...The tension is pulled as a noose around the reader's neck." -Robert W. Walker, author of PRIMAL INSTINCT

The main characters are well rounded, amazingly detailed and life like; the way they interact through each others lives is intriguing and carefully constructed in building this tense thriller.
You are brought into the story through the horror of a murder suicide and the impact this leaves on a lovely young woman, who has her own secrets that reveal themselves through the book.
As the tension builds you are introduced to a strange writer who plagiarisers and copycats everything in his life, his peculiarly incontinent Mother, a bag lady who will leave you with an urge for a burger and a Cop you want to cuddle; not forgetting all the surrounding characters who pop up and round out the story.
Lots of twists and turns with an ending that really fitted in well.
5* does not seem nearly enough to give this brilliant novel.
I'm a sensitive reader and wear my heart on my sleeve and there were some part of this book that were hard for me to read, but as with all of Billie Sue Mosiman's books you get pulled in from the beginning and can't stop reading until the tale is told.
This tale for me is on of Loss, love and the need to forget the most horrible past and a search for a new and happy future, but sadly that is not meant to be for any of the unforgettable characters in this novel. With each character you meet along the way you are able to feel their impact on the story and they will stay with me for a long time.
This is an incredible book and well worth the read. I highly recommend it to all.
The plot was developed in such a way, that the events that then took place were believable. It was really important for this to happen in order to believe that the main character could develop in the way that she did.
I have to confess, I wanted a different ending, but had I written the book, I'd have probably written the same ending.
Definitely worth a read.
