"Arguably, one of the best tomes...Twitter Power is jam-packed with clever ways to start and dominate a marketplace." (Brandopia.typepad.com, March 23rd 2009)
"...good comprehensive overview...Comm is at his best when discussing how to use Twitter as a marketing, PR or promotional tool." (B2B Marketing, July 2009)

“For months I saw and heard the buzz about Twitter, but it wasn’t until Joel told me details about it that I fully understood its marketing implications. Now I can clearly see how this free site can help me further build relationships with my customers, and I am going to be ‘tweeting’ frequently! In fact, I have already started, thanks to Joel. So thanks for writing this book, Joel. It’s going to help a lot of people grow their business!”

“I was lucky. Joel Comm sat down with me and explained what Twitter is, how it works, and how I could and should be using it for my business. Joel knows more about using Twitter than any other human, and the proof is in his own massive success with "tweeting." You're even luckier; in this book, Joel will teach YOU everything you need to know about Twitter—and you don't even need to buy him lunch.”
Dan O'Day, radio advertising guru (www.twitter/dan_oday)

Joel has done a great job of demonstrating how a minor investment of time and energy can result in long-term payoffs. No wonder they call him the Social Media Expert!”
Kristopher Jones, CEO of Pepperjam and author of Search Engine Optimization: Your Visual Blueprint for Effective Internet Marketing

“Joel Comm's understanding of social media and its applications for entrepreneurs and the growth of their businesses is remarkable. Beyond his knowledge, it is his ability to communicate it effectively that makes him stand apart, while his humor in delivery keeps you coming back for more. “

When you add in the incredibly viral nature of Twitter, the possibilities are virtually endless.”
Dan Nickerson (www.YouMetDan.com)

“I've been following Joel on Twitter for a while now and I'll be frank—he annoys me . But in a good way. He always manages to grab my attention in Twitter, despite the limited words availablle within the
microblogging platform. This clearly demonstrates that Joel understands how this new and powerful social media tool should be used. If you want to unleash the power of Twitter for your business, Joel is someone you should pay attention to.”
Yaro Starak (www.entrepreneurs-journey.com)

“I'm a twittering fool. Twitter is one of the most addicting things on the net. Besides the fact you get to update everyone and talk to people you'd rarely talk to, it's a great tool for building an online buzz. Make sure you follow Joel Comm on this subject, because he's on the cutting edge of this.”

HASH(0x90002a50) von 5 Sternen Best Book On Twitter 10. Februar 2009
Von Amazon Customer - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Gebundene Ausgabe Verifizierter Kauf
This is the third Twitter book I have read and this one was the best by far. In my reading and marking pages, I found at least 50 specific marketing strategies I can use right now. Being an author of 20 books myself, I am a tough critic of these kinds of books. I would give this one my highest recommendation for anyone wanting to learn about Twitter or online marketing in general.

HASH(0x90002c9c) von 5 Sternen If you want to be a successful Twit, you need this book. 24. Februar 2009
Von Rhiannon Bowman - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Gebundene Ausgabe
If you're interested in creating a successful Twitter account- especially one you hope will boost your bottom-line- you'll find the book is worth every cent.

It's obvious from the start of the book, which you'll want to read in front of your computer, that Comm wants readers to utilize it as a reference guide to get started and make productive use of their Twitter time- not be an end-all-be-all Twitter Bible (he leaves plenty of room for Twitter to upgrade).

New Twitter users will find the first three chapters immensely helpful, while those of us who are already Tweetie Birds (follow me @RhiBowman) could easily skip them. Though, I wouldn't, if I were you; you'll likely find a couple of wise tips you never knew you were looking for within those pages. They cover a brief history of social media, Twitter's recipe for success and how to get started- from choosing a user name to resources for designing your profile page.

While it's true much of the rest of the book is intended for business users, the good-to-know information will be helpful for those who are all about Twitter fun, too. Every Twitterer wants to build a following (chapter five), needs to "play nice" (chapter 12 covers legal-ese) and lots of groups might be interested in using Twitter to communicate with their members (chapter seven). But, business users will want to pay particularly close attention to the chapters on customer service, brand building and using Twitter as a tool to drive traffic to your Web site (and products).

The book is easy to use as a reference with its thorough contents page(s) and comprehensive index. So, for those who don't feel they have the time to read cover-to-cover, you can certainly pick through for the specific information you need to know.

Speaking of picking, I do have a couple of gripes. I'll start with typos; they're distracting. There aren't tons of them, but there are enough of them for me to mention them here. Second, of the many helpful Web sites Comm lists, I did find that he has a business interest in one of them (TwitPwr.com). Wish he would have disclosed that fact. (Maybe since the name is so close to the book's title he assumed we'd figure it out.) Lastly, his co-author Ken Burge, mentions a portion of the book's Web site several times in techy chapter 11 but, as of this writing, it's under construction. Of course, the book is only one week old. And, frankly, those are minor problems and shouldn't prevent you from reading the book.

Here's why: the book is going to help you increase your "followers" list and it will help you use Twitter more effectively- whether for business or for pleasure. For proof, look at the stats for my Twitter account. When I began reading the book- three days ago- I had 328 followers. Right now I have 454- and, I've only just begun to follow Comm's advice. Plus, I've gained followers that I genuinely like who I hope enjoy Tweeting with me.

I can't help but believe Comm would be proud of me for paying attention to the numbers.

HASH(0x90002edc) von 5 Sternen If you're using Twitter you need to read Twitter Power! 6. Februar 2009
Von Miles Baker - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Gebundene Ausgabe
I've been following Joel on Twitter for over a year as of writing this. Over that time I've seen his Twitter following grow by thousands of followers! Watching this amazing growth and following Joel's tweets I've realized he definitely knows Twitter inside and out. I'm glad he's finally released all his knowledge and tips into book format.

Just in the the first few chapters Twitter Power covers the basics and potential mistakes I see SO MANY people making with Twitter. It then goes on to cover many other helpful aspects such as how to use Twitter to build your brand, getting help, building a team, applications you can use with Twitter, and more.

I highly recommend reading Twitter power for anyone that uses Twitter and wants to get the most out of it.

HASH(0x90006258) von 5 Sternen Destined to become THE guide for serious Twitterers 28. Februar 2009
Von Kelly Monaghan - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

Whenever I get involved in something new, I like to get the definitive source of information to make sure I do it right.

"Twitter Power" certainly fits the bill on that score. Lucid and well-written, the book will be my Baedeker as I navigate the world of Twitter and social media.

I only wish Comm had spent a little more time on the most basic of basics -- deciphering the Twitter interface and Twitter conventions, for example. It took me a while to figure some of that stuff out and I'm still learning.

He should also yell at his publisher for the sloppy editing job they did. Comm deserves better.

But these are minor carps. The book is a must for anyone who wants to get started with Twitter the right way and it is highly recommended.

HASH(0x9000600c) von 5 Sternen Very disappointed in Twitter Power 20. Mai 2009
Von Marian Marbury - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

I found the book too basic in some ways, very redundant, and not particularly helpful. An example- lots of stuff on how to gain new followers (none of it particularly original) but nothing on how to manage all those followers. So you have 500 - how do you keep up with all those tweets? (answer- ignore most of them and use TweetDeck to help you focus on the people you find valuable and want to engage with). Save your money and read some of the helpful blogs available.
