Dubbed the Supersonic Star Show part two, it carried on the trail of it's predecessor. But this time, the "Kid" explores the darker side of life. Chemical Dogs was an album about theft. Stealing love, fame, money, and finally reality. The album was a triumph, giving the band the success it deserved from the beginning. In the UK, BCFM Radio named it 'Album of the Year', and in Los Angeles, CSK was crowned 'Breakthrough Artist of the Year' at the Hollywood F.A.M.E. Awards. The album continues to receive critical acclaim worldwide. Now, it's time once again for a new Crash Street Kids record. A record that is stunning in it's masterful blend of power, junkie sleeze, and glam rock theatrics. In Transatlantic Suicide, the third and final installment of the saga of "the Kid", we learn more about the main character and his "past", his secret, and the girl who changed everything.       With a name like Crash Street Kids, its no great surprise to find that Mott the Hoople are a big influence especially on tracks like Cigarettes... but Cheap Trick & 70s Rock/Pop in general also plays a prominent part in their melodic and polished sound. Engineers and Zero are stand out tracks but this album rocks from start to finish and its difficult to understand why major success has eluded this band and this album in particular which for me is the best of the 4 they have recorded.;

      CSK is music for all ages. Our teenage nephew likes them and even old folks like us enjoy many of their songs. They identify as glamrock and some of their songs definitely have a sound that is a throwback to earlier days. Favorite cut on this CD is Do You Believe in Rock and Roll.
