Kurzbeschreibung

Driven to make a difference in the lives of the injured and deformed, Atlanta plastic surgeon, Charles Stafford gives up his successful practice to work with a medical organization in Nigeria. Awaiting him at the small village hospital is the beautiful and compassionate nurse, Adanna Okoro, who is everything he has ever wanted in a woman.

Adanna has returned to her homeland after graduation from a London nursing school. Her two desires in life are to help the sick in her nation and to marry a smart, motivated man. Charles enters her life like an answer from heaven, but cultural differences separate them. Adanna must choose between tradition and the man she has come to love.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Great Series 15. August 2014

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading Book 2 of the Stafford Brothers Series. The author, Chicki Brown picks right up from the 1st book, A Woman's Worth, which gives the reader a tight continuity between the two books. This family series is right up there with the likes of the Westmorelands (Brenda Jackson), the Graysons (The late Francis Ray) and the Wolf Pack ( Maureen Smith). Till You Come Back to Me also explores the traditions and beliefs of the Nigerian culture, which serves as a plus to the storyline and setting. Check out her strong characterization of the heroine's ( Adanna) brother, Emeka, the brother you love to hate. I highly recommend this 2nd Book in the Stafford Brothers Series. Get the 1st one and settle back, enjoy the ride from the ATL to Vegas to Nigeria.

The Stafford Brothers series continues in this book about Adana and Charles. The story is set both in America and Lagos, Nigeria. I loved the details of the setting, the traditions and culture of Nigeria. Though I tend to avoid romances, this series is more than that. These books pull you in and don't let you go until the end.

The second novel it he Stafford Brothers series did not disappoint at all. Charles Stafford is at a crossroads in his life and decides to volunteer with Doctor Without Borders, sell his practice and home in Atlanta and head for Nigeria. He finds much more than the satisfaction of helping poor people when he arrives and gets a jolt from cupid: her name is Adanna-black, beautiful, intelligent and bold. What unfolds is a love story with everything that defines an excellent novel.
Bravo, Chicki Brown.

4.0 von 5 Sternen The Stafford Brothers will steal your heart 24. Juni 2014
Von PatriciaW - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verifizierter Kauf
Chicki Brown has penned a dynamic family series about six brothers. The Stafford family, richly steeped in the world of medicine, consists of a heap of unique, strong, attractive--did I say hunky?--men. There is family drama what with relationship issues between the family patriarch and all of his sons as to how he views their life decisions and the amount of influence he's exerted upon them. There's sibling drama between a few of the sons who have felt favored (or not) or have been disrespected over the years. As the men find their soul mates, they introduce women to the mix who bring new personalities...and in some cases, drama.

In this installment, Charles Stafford, a successful plastic surgeon in search of greater professional fulfillment, closes his Atlanta practice and heads to Nigeria where he volunteers with Doctors Without Borders. On the African continent, he meets Adanna, a Nigerian-born, London-raised nurse, who excites his physical and professional passions. But problems arise because her family does not think much of Americans and goes to extremes to keep them apart.

Brown lays out the flavor of Nigerian culture and politics, planting Charles and Adanna squarely in the middle looking for a solution that will satisfy both families and allow them to be together. Adanna wears her caring heart on her sleeve, causing Charles to fall for her that much more, and Charles shows himself to be as upstanding as he is a gifted surgeon, making Adanna a goner. The fast pace of the story makes it an easy, entertaining read, and Brown lays the groundwork for the next brother's saga in a manner that takes nothing away from this story--a juicy bone tossed to eager readers who will anxiously await the next Stafford installment.

Till You Come Back to Me was a good read. The second Stafford Brother story this time deals with Charles. Charles was the Plastics Surgeon who was feeling unfulfilled and decided to sell his practice and work with Doctors Without Borders. He was assigned to work in Nigeria with children and adults that had little changes to getting the care they needed without the volunteer doctors help. Charles also decided to move in with his twin Marcus in Las Vegas, and help out at the fitness center as the spokesperson. Once he made the move things with his family seemed strained, but he felt he needed to make the change to be fulfilled. After arriving in Africa Charles and the other doctors on the team met with the nurses and doctors they would be working with during their stay. During that meeting Charles met nurse Adanna Okoro and something inside both of them turned them inside out. The attraction was visible even through a brick wall, it was that intense. As the two people and their vastly different cultures collide, it was apparent that those difference would not keep them apart. Other forces were working against them to severe the bond in the form of her brother. He believed that unless Adanna married an African man from their tribe, she would not be acceptable to her family. Emeka had many prejudices against Charles based on his lighter skin color and the fact that he had light colored eyes like a Caucasian man. The story showed how a strong love and bond can overcome many obstacles. Cultural differences will not over shadow real love.
