Kurzbeschreibung

The explosive sequel to the Amazon.com Bestseller, Alice in Deadland.

More than two years have passed since Alice followed a Biter with bunny ears down a hole, triggering events that forever changed her life and that of everyone in the Deadland. The Red Guards have been fought to a standstill; Alice has restored some measure of peace between humans and Biters; and under Alice, humans have laid the foundations of the first large, organized community since The Rising- a city called Wonderland.

That peace is shattered in a series of vicious Biter attacks and Alice finds herself shunned by the very people she helped liberate. Now she must re-enter the Deadland to unravel this new conspiracy that threatens Wonderland. Doing so will mean coming face to face with her most deadly adversary ever- the Red Queen..

4.0 von 5 Sternen Pretty good follow up 3. Mai 2012
Von Matthew J. Heltemes - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

I'll admit. I'm a zombie fiction fanatic. Since I received my Kindle Fire for Christams, I've been reading various zombie books ad nauseum. Mainak Dhar's inventive and imaginitive take on the Alice in Wonderland book is fresh and feels completely different than most of it's contemporaries. While the first book entitled "Alice in Deadland" is a fast paced, edge of your seat thrill ride, it's follow up falls a little short of its predecessor. Through the Killing Glass is indeed a good book. However at many points it felt rushed and a bit too formulaic. Our Heroine is once again thrust into a no win situation and has to try to find her way out of it. Instead of providing too many spoilers I will simply say that I did enjoy this follow up, however I was left wanting. Wanting this to be better as well as wanting more from this series. Hopefully he has another one in the works.

4.0 von 5 Sternen As good as, if not better then the first 27. Mai 2012
Von EchoMirage - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

If you've read the first book, Alice in Deadland, you'll know what to expect: a good zombie book with a very original take involving the alice in wonderland spin. Like everyone else said, the characters, both Alice and supporting characters, are well detailed and fleshed out. The detail in action, weapons, and vehicles is lacking, as it was in Deadland. Some of my biggest questions were: how did they hook up the TVs? Where did the signal come from? Was it cable, satellite, rabbit ears? How and where were they automatic gun turrets mounted? What kind of jeeps did they have? I like alot of detail in my books, so you may not find that as much of a problem.

Besides that, this is an excellent conclusion to the wonderland theme. It's a different and refreshing take on the genre, and worthy of a read.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Absolutely riveting 30. August 2012

I have enjoyed all of the books by this author and you will have a hard time putting this one down. The return of so many good characters and continuing storyline makes me hope there will be another book with Alice in it soon. Very much worth the price.

4.0 von 5 Sternen Great! 3. Januar 2013
Von Kora87 - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

This was a great follow up to Alice in Deadland. It was not quite as good as the first book, but sequels rarely are. In this book, Alice finds out that the consequences for taking down a powerful dictatorship can be both good and bad. Good in that you can help people and rebuild society to be stronger, but bad in that someone always wants to take you down and take your power. She also learns that people always need an authority figure to blame when things go wrong. If you liked the first book, you will like this one.
5.0 von 5 Sternen To quirk fiction lovers everywhere. 30. Juli 2013

Choosing this rating was easy. I enjoy the genre of quirk classics and this version of Alice was amusing. I also appreciated the acceptable language, lack of unnecessary gore and the "news_speak" used to illustrate political agendas. I really like how empowered Alice is and how easy you can correlate the characters between the classic and it's quirk version. Can't wait to read more and I know that, at least so far, I know I can recommend this to middle school readers.
