Not as enjoyable as the first four parts...

really misses the tongue in cheek lightness of the first installments. The story is much grimmer but what is actually worse is that the story drags itself along for the first two thirds of the book before coming up to speed. In fact quite a bit of the book is not spent so much on story advancement of the main plot but on character development (relationship Mo/violin and Bob), much backstory on the vampires, but this makes the story really feel slow. Somehow this book feels like a transition piece. It will be interesting to see how the story evolves from here. As some other (german) reviewer mentions, Bob really matures here a lot as a character and is not a lowly Laundry-employee anymore.
The end of the book is then rather spectacular, but this is really only the last fourth or so, where the story really picks up speed and there is MAJOR plot advancement.
In total, okayish, but not great. Will be interesting to read the next one.
