I aquire many CD-s. Some are must buys, some famous, some sold by clever marketing. But this one, choosen for myself only represents the soul of the instrument I love the most. Groupped around Tchaikovsky appear his time and friends and collegues. Presented by a German cellist with the necessary amount of understanding the Russian musicians (although often of german origin :-)) of a late century arranged and conducted by an outstanding Lithuanian... Not to forget the wise text with interesting informations.
People, don't be afraid of not so expensive recordings, just buy it!
