From a USA TODAY Bestselling Author comes the first book in the suspenseful, erotic romance series: The Untouchables. In these woven novels, the illustrious royal vampire family, the Blackmoores, meet their new mates who come in unexpected forms.

When Dominic Blackmoore mistakes Felicity Shaw as the mate he's supposed to marry, he can't resist the curvy, sexy woman. As the head of the Blackmoore household running for vampire and were council, he needs a suitable mate--a mate with money, power, and clout. And a wedding planner just won't do the trick--even though she keeps his heart racing and his body begging for more.

Felicity needs work--and the Blackmoore wedding is the Holy Grail of events. She has to keep her mind on the game--and her hands off the groom. Easier said than done. The pull and connection Felicity and Dom feel for one another trumps all political propaganda. And when one terrible and irreparable lies seals both of their fates, everything they've worked for is threatened. Now, they're both in the race of their lives.

Über den Autor und weitere Mitwirkende

I love to write the kind of stories that will keep you up late at night and make your heart pound. It’s my goal in writing to make each new book better, more exciting, more action-packed, not only to test myself as a writer but to keep thrilling you. I’m always trying to push the boundaries with my imagination, and yours, to create something new and different. If you’re a fan of paranormal romance novels then you’ll love my Bellum Sisters Trilogy. This isn’t your typical romance story, so be prepared for a kick of heat and tons of action. The Bellum Sisters Trilogy has received excellent reviews from paranormal bloggers and two of the three books are Top Picks from Night Owl Reviews. Now, if you like shorter books with quite a bit of heat, humor, and action then I’d recommend the Kategan Alphas series. This erotic series features the sexy Kategan family and all the lucky men and women who get to meet them and complete their lives. Visit my website to learn more about me and my books at

2.0 von 5 Sternen not for me, I'm afraid 26. Januar 2014

**mild spoiler**

OK, so I'm not claiming this isn't a quality book but there was very little in it that appealed to me. I simply didn't like it. More often than not, the characters reacted to stimuli in ways that made me cringe and/or ignored the things I thought would be important in those same circumstances. My frustration level remained high for almost all of it.

To start with, Dom was a straight up jerk. He kept spouting off about how he loved Felicity and would do anything for her, when he very clearly wouldn't...didn't. Even the change of circumstances that finally allowed them to be together wasn't at his impetus and it's pretty obvious that he would never have done it if things were left to him. Then when that change did occur it wasn't at all clear that it wasn't just another political machination. (What it was however was predictable.)

Further, he spoke disparagingly of his father's tendency to keep mistresses while SIMULTANEOUSLY trying make the same arrangement with Felicity. He gave not one thought to the fact that if he got his way he would be selfishly consigning his mate to an eternity married to a man who refused her even the barest emotional (let alone physical) connection. Ash hat! Ash hat. Ash hat. Ash hat. And if I can't bring myself to like, let alone sympathise with the hero there isn't much chance of me liking the book.

Felicity wasn't much better. I found her to be a weak-willed pushover. But even worse, she said repeatedly that she wouldn't be with Dom until he was no longer with Julianna. Note, not I won't be with you BECAUSE you're with Jasmine, but until you're not, which substantively isn't much of a moral improvement over just being the mistress. It's still destroying someone else's relationship. The only real difference would be to HER pride and if in the long run, she has to play first or second fiddle. Witch! Witch. Witch. Witch. And if I can't bring myself to like, let alone sympathise with the heroine there isn't much chance of me liking the book.

I'm afraid my dislike began on page one, when it started with a dubiously consensual sex scene between two unknown characters (and I mean paragraph one, page one starting). I almost didn't make it past that first chapter before tossing this on the DNF pile. I just didn't care about the characters yet. Heck, I didn't know the characters, circumstance, history, etc. So how exactly was I supposed to care? This was also problematic because since it was stated in this anchorless sex scene that it was their first time having sex together, in all of the subsequent almost sex scenes I knew it wouldn't come to fruition. Totally ruined the sense of suspense.

I also had trouble with the writing. Again, I'm not saying it was bad, just didn't appeal to me. I found the onomatopoeias (thump, boom, thwack) annoying, even more so since they were sometimes italicised and sometime capitalised. Either way I found they broke the flow of the narrative.

There were a lot of editing mistakes--typo-type/grammar mistakes, but also the more annoying content errors. For example, Felicity was said at one point to be 75 years old, at another she was said to be 118. She's said to be short at one point and then tall for a woman at another, etc.

I also found it repetitive, in terms of using the same phrases again and again (I thought I might gag if I read "the look" one more time), using the same word more than once is a short amount of time (often in the same sentence) and telling the reader the same information numerous times.

Lastly, and I'm not sure how to make this make any more sense here than it did in the book, I had a lot of trouble with the use of the word 'were' as an abbreviation for werewolf. The problem was that when stranded in a sentence it was read as were (like were you there). Which means I often read it as the past subjunctive of the word be, then finished the sentence only to then have to go back and read it again once I realised it was supposed to be werewolf. Even after that I was stricken to hear it pronounced in my head as were instead of where, as if said by some strongly accented person. IMO, it would have worked better if the author had used the full term, werewolf, or if an abbreviation was necessary, wolf, thereby avoiding the confusion of terms.

I know people like this book. I've seen all the good reviews. I'll even admit that the world it presented was an interesting one and I did appreciate that the author broke away from the norm by letting her hero fail on occasion Unfortunately, I found myself procrastinating about picking up my kindle, while normally I'm picking up my kindle to procrastinate about other things. Almost nothing about the story or the characters made me happy. It's mostly all personal preferences, but I'm happy to be finished with it.

Wow, what can I say? I'm glad I didn't have to pay for this book. The editing was terrible and granted the story is fantasy but it was so unbelievable I couldn't connect with the characters. Huge inconsistencies through out the story drove me nuts. What happened to the cat? An event planner who spent most of the time not planning. I can't continue without giving away spoilers so I won't. My suggestion skip this book and keep looking for something else.

1.0 von 5 Sternen All books in this series need editing!!! 9. März 2017

Good grief...after finishing this book I looked at reviews for the other books in this series and there are still reader's complaining about lack of editing in all of them. I read lots of series books but I will not buy the others if an author cares so little about their readers that they won't even follow-up and make corrections. The story was not that good to begin with and certainly not worth spending money on to read the rest with no editing. The two main characters who fall in love are not very well developed and at times the writing seems juvenile yet x rated. After a while the sex scenes just seem gratuitous. The ending was also strange and detracted from what could have been a fairly good story. I'm not sure why this book has as many good reviews as it does. I will be avoiding this author based on the lack of editing. It seems disrespectful to readers to have so many readers mention the problem yet nothing has been done to correct it :( ...

3.0 von 5 Sternen An Okay Read! 5. Oktober 2014
Von PURPLE JEWELS - Veröffentlicht auf

The first difficulty I encounter when trying to enjoy this story was that I had to work hard to forget almost all of the established lore regarding vampires that had been engrained in my psyche over the years in order to accept Grey's version. For example, lore that include: vampires don't have a heartbeat or a pulse, vampires don't sweat, a vampire wouldn't cry out from pain b/c he or she twisted an ankle, etc. Second, after reading a complete series by the author, I had to somehow accept that she cares absolutely nothing about ensuring that her work is property edited. I normally prized myself on not being easily distracted by such errors. However, in Grey's case the numerous grammatical error, misspelled word, missing words and paragraphs that made no sense were too numerous for even my mind's normal ability to seamlessly correct most grammatical errors. Grey's obvious disrespect for her own craft, as well as, her readers, both astounded and disappointed me. She's a reasonably talented writer and adds sexually charged stories with a good plot to a genre filled with authors who apparently think that a scintillatingly erotic story and a story with a good or interesting plot are mutually exclusive.

Overall,"Take Me" was a pretty good read. Although, the overarching plot wasn't original Grey's combinations of events was interesting and entertaining enough. The pacing of the story was okay but I did find myself tiring of some of the descriptions of home interiors and other mundane matters. Which is not unusual for me since I tend to be an impatient reader and one who bores rather quickly. What I was surprised by was that I began to tired of some of the sex scenes. They began to feel rather repetitive so I did skip about a bit. I know that I complain if a story feel rushed and needs to be flushed out more, but in this instance the story seemed shome how over long and I actually was glad when it ended.

The character development was okay but at time I didn't like either Felicity or Domonic. I didn't have a problem with the instant attraction experienced by Dom or Felicity b/c instant attraction is a acceptable phenomenon when dealing with supernaturals and in the paranormal world. The endearment "I love you, baby" got old fast and don't ask me why but it just didn't feel right coming out of a vampire's mouth. Granted it's was an urban story but it still felt wrong some how. Even "the look" became trite quickly and lost its "cuteness" appeal after a while. I agree that periodically Domonic came across as a jerk but most paranormal "Alpha" males frequently do. For the most part, I still liked him. As for Felicity running off b/c she was overwhelmed, grudgingly I accepted her feelings but what I couldn't accept was who she left with. There were no circumstances that could make that acceptable especially when she obviously knew or should have known how it would make Dom look and feel. I also found how quickly Dom got over what Felicity did, who she left with and the other loss of something that he had spent his whole life preparing for unconvincingly quick. I just didn't buy it. I also didn't really buy into after only a week Felicity suddenly became a bada$$ who was so ready for a showdown with Dom's ex. Even the HEA didn't really bring a smile to my face like it usually does.

Nevertheless, it was an okay read and, thus, a 3 star rating. Under amazon's rating system 3 stars mean "It's OK" and it was while 2 stars mean "I don't like it" and 1 star means "I hate."

5.0 von 5 Sternen Good book with strong characters 11. Januar 2017

This was a good long read over 400 pages, I like longer books as they tend to have better back story, and this did not disappoint, you really get to know the characters, I am a very objective reader and have read some of the other reviews, there are some parts not for the faint of heart but this is just a book of fiction just because something is not your taste doesn't mean the book is bad or poorly written its just not what an individual likes. I personally have no issue with the content and think the book is well written with a strong plot and enjoyable characters, but that is only my opinion if you enjoy a steamy read why don't you give it a try and decide for yourself.
