T.A.E. is package that contains photos and graphs + 13 Video explanations (that you get with purchase), are definite answer to many 'unanswered' questions related to real life self defense. "What is the attacker is stronger and faster?" , "...what if he is trained?" and similar sort of questions all become non relevant when T.A.V. methods are applied - no one can take this type and intensity of pain! One can train muscles, endurance, cardio etc. but no person can train 'pressure point resistance'! Simple as that.

This are simple yet incredibly powerful methods based on ancient Chinese art that deals in detail with pressure point manipulation and striking. This book deals with basics - it teaches you how to quickly detect these points on the body of attacker and how to successfully apply pressure (pinching or rubbing/pushing) motion for instant elimination of the attackers intentions to heart or injure you. It's very much like using the stun gun - it creates very strong painful sensation in the body of aggressor and offers an element of shock and surprise - both essential for quick and powerful self-defense.

Are these methods meant to be used in combat sports? For sure NOT, but many expert fighters very successfully "slip in" use some of them between the rules, especially in MMA. Despite that, these are self-defense methods that are meant for real fight situations not for any kind of friendly sparring or organized sport. These methods are extremely painful, effective and dangerous therefore all students are requested to be very careful while practicing them.

If you are a total beginner - you will benefit from this book because it will teach you the basics of self-defense that are very often overlooked. On basis of that, if you really think you need to learn more about self-defense you can definitely do so.

If you are martial artists or you already know a lot about self-defense I believe you will like to take a good look because this book will shed a light to the areas that are not often visited in modern martial arts. Each and every method explained in his book is easily combined with strikes, kicks, controls or any other kind of techniques you are used to.

Über den Autor und weitere Mitwirkende

From early childhood on, he worked hard just to get food and water - times were extremely hard in Zhengzhou, China. When William was 5 years old, his mother had to leave his three sisters and him in order to survive. Though it seems like a terrible beginning, small William lived through it and gained great life experience. The will of providence brought him to work as a servant in the house of the great master, Sifu Qian Bo-Wan. His Kung Fu school became his home and shelter. At the age of 8, boys passion for martial arts was recognized and he began learning personally from the great master Bo-Wan.   He was trained in various methods: Wing Chun, Shao Lin Guan, Tai Chi Guan, Xing Xi Guam. He studied Chi Kung with my master and Buddhist monks. Just before his Sifu left this world, he told to 14 year old boy: "Xi (his name for author), you have to go and spread this knowledge. You can do much more then I ever could, you will see." Author felt humbled and obligated to carry out his wishes and he did so.   After finishing his studies of traditional Chinese medicine with Dr. Le Cai, author moved to the Western world. He often stated that he never understood what his Sifu meant by saying 'you can do much more'. He did not say 'better', but 'more'. He explained that despite spending more then 30 years in teaching martial arts, Chi Kung, and related disciplines just recently he was able to understand why he used the term 'much more'.   It was not because of anything in me. It is because of the Internet and modern technology that I really am able to fully fulfill his instructions. I am more than grateful to all my students and readers who help me, and continue reading and using my books. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and God bless you.

“T.A.E: Total Attack Elimination” by Sifu William Lee is an entry level summation of a self-defense course the author has taught for 30 or more years. As a long-time martial arts instructor, primarily concerned with self-defense, Lee successfully has endeavored to simplify basic self-defense so that strength, speed, agility and age matter very little. A young child or a centenarian can use these techniques with little more than enough practice to facilitate automatic response during an aggressive confrontation.

“T.A.E: Total Attack Elimination” focuses exclusively on 13 specific pressure points on a human body, which can be manipulated to cause debilitating pain in an aggressor, and halt the aggression. Although these are some of the same pressure points utilized by acupuncturists, Lee emphasizes the differences between the two practices, to show how they can be used in one’s defense.

He further emphasizes that these techniques are NOT for use by aggressors or bullies, and trusts to luck and serendipity that nobody with that intention will read the book. He also advises that you locate the pressure points - and practice - on your own self, so you understand the amount of pain this system can inflict without injuring a practice partner.

One worthwhile feature of “T.A.E: Total Attack Elimination” is a number of links within the text, which redirect the reader to various YouTube videos in which the author and/or his students demonstrate the proper techniques needed to master the pressure point covered in that chapter. I have merely read the book one time. I hope to master the techniques herein, but as of now I cannot speak to the value of this method in a life-threatening situation. I hope I never find out!

Regardless, I think it would be a very good idea for anybody who may one day encounter some kind of violent confrontation (i.e. - everybody), to get this book and practice, practice, practice, until you can walk about, confident in your ability to defend yourself and your family.

I was curious about this book, as I've just begun to study Tae Kwon Do, and was wondering if any of the principles Lee lays out might apply to my study. As it turns out, the answer is yes, and then some. While not strictly a martial art, Lee most definitely uses the meridians of the body as understood in Chinese medicine to neutralize an opponent. I tried some of the points on myself, and they most definitely work. An intriguing read.

HASH(0x8f6bf894) von 5 Sternen Essential Self Defence Information 18. Mai 2014

When anybody who is interested in protecting themselves or their loved ones from bullies and criminals stumbles on a book like this, it is almost compulsory that they avail themselves of it. For a mere pittance, the opportunity to learn self-defence techniques that don't require years of martial arts training, is too important to pass up.

Even experienced martial artists should purchase this short manual, perhaps just to round out their own knowledge, or learn a new point on the human body or technique they were previously not aware of.

I have always been receptive to Oriental philosophies, Taoist techniques and traditions etc, but I find William's straight-forward and direct way of imparting his instructions refreshing and easy to absorb.

Five stars for the book's uniqueness, its method of delivery, and its importance in today's world.
