Here is the indispensable hand book for the present breakdown crisis and disintegration of the world financial, currency, and banking system. Webster Tarpley builds on his prophetic work of 1999, which showed the world heading for a financial cataclysm and economic depression due to deregulated derivatives speculation, the destruction of modern productive industry, the collapse of the US standard of living, and a globalized hot money casino run by a tiny financier oligarchy.

Tarpley calls for a return to the American System of political economy as exemplified by such figures as Hamilton, Clay, Lincoln, FDR, and JFK. He shows the criminal futility of the Bush-Paulson-Bernanke bailout of the $1.5 quadrillion derivatives bubble, now continued under cynical and demagogic left cover by the Obama - Geithner - Summers - Bernanke clique. Obama is exposed as the worst Wall St. puppet in recent US history, an anti-FDR peddling a New Deal in reverse for the benefit of zombie bankers, while the American people get the crumbs.

Surviving the Cataclysm advances a benchmark program for world economic recovery, full employment, scientific and technological progress, third world development, and the defense of our threatened civilization. It is a call for wiping out derivatives, banning foreclosures, and nationalizing the failed Federal Reserve System. Cheap, no-interest Federal credit for production can build 1,000 hospitals, 100,000 miles of high-speed maglev rail, 100 fourth-generation high-temperature pebble bed nuclear reactors, while rebuilding the interstates, and water systems - creating tens of millions of high-paid, capital-intensive modern jobs in the process. Tarpley makes the case for science drivers in exploration, colonization, and industrialization on the moon and Mars; high-energy physics; and biomedical research. A special chapter discusses ways individuals and families can survive the crisis.

If you read one book on economics, let it be this one. -- Dieser Text bezieht sich auf eine andere Ausgabe: Taschenbuch.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Alternative analysis of the US economic system. 17. April 2014

If you take time to read throughout this book, you will probably want to start buy gold coins and getting ready for a collapse sort of like the one the Soviet Union went through around the early 1990's, or like the demise of the British Empire after 1945, or like the Roman Empire 2000 yrs ago. America is blessed with a huge land mass, located on a favorable latitude, with long growing seasons, and ample mineral wealth and natural resources ( like water ). The American spirit was full of energy and goodwill, and valued education, and that can probably return, after the big "reset". But, reading into the history of the banking and money printing system ( The "Federal" Reserve Banks ), one begins to see how rigged the system has been since 1913.

Unfortunately, our broadcast media ( TV and radio ) and newspapers and magazines no longer spend much time doing "investigative" reporting on the topic of banking, so most Americans are completely unaware ( maybe blissfully ) of what is probably going on behind the curtain.

So, read this book and others if you want to start understanding how things really are set up.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Take if You're Suffering from Libertarianism (Buy and read) 13. Juli 2012
Von Mike C - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Taschenbuch Verifizierter Kauf
Are you disgusted with the monetary policies of the Federal Reserve? Disgusted by the wretched state of our national economy? Tired of the lying politicians in both parties who continue to sell out the American people to the international banks? Don't vote for Ron Paul, read this book and learn about the American System, which is the real threat to the "New World Order." See how the Austrian School is the opposite to the American System in every way and is tantamount to treason. Learn about the policies of the great men who built and sustained this country, and how they were not for free trade, but for protectionism, government credit for industry, and subsidies to promote a high wage, industrial economy. Learn about oligarchy in the chapter "The Age of Oligarchy." Even gold bugs will love this book when they read in the chapter "Self Defense in the Crisis" that if they are out of debt and have no other uses for the money that buying gold could be a good hedge against inflation. But don't go crazy leprechaun, real value is in the creativity of the human mind and in our ability to increase the productive powers of labor, and that's what government economic policies should be promoting.
4.0 von 5 Sternen Webster is a Gentleman & a Scholar 23. November 2015

This is a thorough and well documented book on economic history. While Webster leans a bit toward Progressive thinking, this book is still valuable in seeing just exactly how we arrived at the current morass in which we find ourselves.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Another Webster Tarpley classic! 27. Juli 2011

What foresight this author had, especially when reading the excerpts from the mid to late 1990's, and the times proved to be exactly as he said. What a read! One of the most important books to read in the financial sector! This man knows what he is talking about!
