Kurzbeschreibung

When life gives you lemons, kill zombies — turns out lemon juice neutralizes the undead.

This critically acclaimed book is now available as a graphic Novel!

After a failed attempt at running away, best friends Nathan and Misty return home expecting to face angry parents. Instead, they discover the military has destroyed the bridges out of their rural town and everyone's fled—except a small horde of the living dead. The stress of flesh-eating zombies may be more than their already strained relationship can handle.

Even with the help of the town geek and lemonade-powered Super-Soakers, there's not enough time to squeeze their way out of this sticky mess. Unless the trio eradicates the zombie infestation, while avoiding the deadly zombie snot, the military will blow the town, and them, to pulp.

Their only shot is something with a lot more punch. Something like the Super Zombie Juice Mega Bomb. But even if their friendship survives, there's another problem: Someone has to lure the undead into the trap.

"I enjoyed Super Zombie Juice Mega Bomb, it is such a fun -- and scary -- adventure. I couldn’t stop turning the pages as I watched Nathan and Misty try to make their way out of a zombie-infested small town. Nathan’s genuine voice wins over from the start. His puzzlement over how his long friendship with Misty seems to be changing now that they have turned into teens adds to the story, making it more than just zombie-whacking action -- not that zombie-whacking is in short supply." -- Laura Lond, author of My Sparkling Misfortune.

Includes two free short stories.
Print version is approximately 208 pages (40,000 words). Contains over 30 images. All images optimized for Kindle and Kindle Fire eReaders.
Parents note: This book contains no cursing or strong language, and no explicit gore or violence. However, scenes of intense zombie action may be disturbing to younger readers.

Can't say that I read much of the book myself, but my eight year son read the book many times over. I heard much about how to defeat zombies. He is also a fan of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Captain Underpants and How to Train your Dragon.

I'm not the one who read this book. My 13 year old, "I hate to read", son did. And this book accomplished what few books do for him. It had him reading. Not just reading, but asking for the Kindle so he could read more if it. I downloaded other books by MJ Ware for him, but I have to admit that while he read them, it was with less enthusiasm. The Graphic Novel format was part of what he loved about this book. Please, I'd love to see more books like this from the author.

4.0 von 5 Sternen a fun read 18. April 2012
Von rick - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
In this book MJA Ware tells the story of Nate and Misty. The two are best friends and the story opens with them trying to run away but returning home only to find their town empty, except for the hordes of the undead roaming about trying to eat them. Along the way they meat Kali a wiz kid who doesn't have too many friends but he warms up to Nate and Misty.

MJA Ware tells a fun story that any kid would enjoy, it's not really gory and graphic, also Mr Ware makes it a point not to use curse words for dialogue. All in all this is a fun read, a good story for a kids book
4.0 von 5 Sternen A great safe zombie read 23. Juni 2012
Von LewisC - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
To start off, I want to say that I am a zombie aficionado. I read and watch zombie stuff that most would pass on. This book is aimed at pre-teen to teen age boys (and possibly girls but the view point is completely boy). I think this is a great book for that audience.

I have yet to get my 9 year old son to read it (he is currently obsessed with the percy jackson series) but I figure he eventually will want to. I feel that the book is entirely safe for him. No violence, sex or anything remotely like that.

The story is about a boy and a girl who, after running away, return to a town infested with zombies. They accidentally discover a special mixture that can destroy the zombies and set out to save the town with super soakers and a fire truck.

There are a couple of inconsistencies here and there. The most glaring to me is how they seem to switch from very young and naive (never been kissed for example)to almost a adult like (like driving a car and punching a grown man and knocking him down). I don't think these will detract from the enjoyment of the target audience.

There are some very funny bits. One good example was the two old lady zombies and the false teeth. That had me laughing out loud.
4.0 von 5 Sternen Did I read the words 'Zombie snot'!? LoL!! 27. Oktober 2015

What are my thoughts about the cover of Super Zombie Juice Mega Bomb? A kid shooting a zombie with a super soaker? Right on!

The main character point-of-view is from a pre-teen named Nathan. He, along with his best friend Misty, & a young boy named Kali find themselves trapped in a town quickly being overrun with zombies.

I thought this story was great. I liked how it covered HOW the zombies became their undead selves AND it covered an affective way of neutralizing them without massive head trauma.

What I didn't l like was a key scene to the story. I wish there had been a way to not do what was done so the outcome wouldn't have been brought about with the results of making eyes sting & a heavy heart. One word, disheartening.

Other than that, I greatly enjoyed the story. I felt this book was well written. The age range for this book should probably be at least a PG13 because of some mild to moderate graphic violence.

Even though this book is technical a YA sectioned book, I'd happily suggest it to my zombie loving friends. Well worth the price...and possibly tears. One thing is for sure, if there is ever a zombie apocalypse I'm going to try a super zombie mega bomb.
