Nachdem ich mir für mein Pixel 7a eine Displayfolie von Spigen geholt habe, hab ich das nun für mein Pixel 5 auch nachgeholt. Montage mit dem Rahmen und den beigelegten Tools (Rahmen, Reinigungstuch, Spachtel ...) wirklich sehr einfach. Sollte es mit der beigegebenen Erklärung nicht ausreichen, so gibt es auf der Homepage von Spigen eine entsprechende Video-Anleitung.
Spigen darf ja mittlerweile ganz offiziell "Made for Google Pixel" verwenden. Das war zum Zeitpunkt des Erscheinens vom Pixel 5 noch nicht der Fall. Daher hatte ich die Folie nicht von Beginn an.
Die Folie liegt sehr gut an und am Handy auf. Es gibt natürlich einen kleinen Rand, weil die Folie nicht exakt 1:1 auf das Display passt. Aber den Rand merkt man nach meinem Gefühl nicht, insbesondere wenn man eine entsprechende Handy-Hülle verwendet. Bei ersten Tests funktioniert das Display gleich gut wie ohne die Folie. Das Produkt ist sicher nicht das billigste, aber in Summe mit den beigelegten Tools und auch die weiterhin perfekt vorhandene Touch-fähgikeit, vertretbar. Über Langzeitverwendung kann aktuell aber nix gesagt werden.

Up until now, I haven't used a screen protector on a regular basis. I've always had issues with transparency, material or the edges of the protector not covering all the glass of the screen.
When switching from a Huawei Mate 10 Pro to Pixel 5, I decided to start using the phone with a (very low profile carbon laterCase) case and a screenprotector so I'd get used to it from the very beginning.
I've been using the new phone for about 2 weeks and am very pleased with it.
*Edges*
The edges don't quite reach the very border of the screen glass, but they do cover the entire actual screen-area.
When looking at the edges from the side, there's some rainbow artefacts right at the edge, but personally that doesn't bother me at all.
*Visibility*
Can't say too much about this since I don't have a comparison without the protector, but generally the visibility is very good. In bright sunlight & when wearing polarized sunglasses, there's also some rainbow artefacts, but that might not have much to do w/ the screen protector itself.
*Camera (non-)cutouts*
One of the main reason I decided on this particular protector is the fact that there's no cutout for the front facing camera. Photos still come out great, and the glass over the lens is now protected from scratches. Most importantly, no dust can accumulate as there's no cut-out for the camera.
*Application*
With the helper-frame, application was super quick, easy & simple, perfectly centered. Because I applied it on a brand new phone, I didn't even have to use the screen cleaner & dust remover, which I'll be able to use when applying the spare protector.
*Overall fit*
Since the case I'm rocking is very low profile, there are some edges between protector & case. Also the case does not stick out over the protector when seen in profile.
*Scratch resistance & smudges*
I frequently place my phone on different surfaces face-down, as this turns on the do-not-disturb mode.
The protector touches the surface directly due to low profile case, but up until now I have yet to discover any micro-scratches on the protector.
The oleophobic nature of the protector also makes it easy to wipe clean of any smudges & finger prints.
