Für die nachgeborenen Generationen ist es schwer nachvollziehbar, was hier im Einzelnen geschildert wird. Für diejenigen, die es miterlebt haben, auch wenn sie damals noch Kinder waren, ist es bittere Realität. Den 08. Mai als Tag der Befreiung zu feiern erscheint als bittere Ironie. - Eine gute Ergänzung zu diesem Buch ist auch die Lektüre des Buches "Der Fragebogen" von Ernst v. Salomon.
