5.0 von 5 Sternen cheap SIM for affordable prepaid phone service 7. Januar 2013

bought this regular-size SIM card for SIMPLE Mobile from amazon third-party marketplace seller "Battery Juice" for under a buck plus shipping & handling. received the SIM card in about four days. got the SIM card for my iPhone 4 and therefore had to cut it down to the size of a microSIM card using a sim card cutter. had to first unlock my AT&T iPhone (see Factory Unlock for Iphone 4/4s/5 here on amazon for five bucks) to get the iPhone to work on SIMPLE Mobile which is a MVNO using Tmobile as the underlying cellular network. then went to the mysimplemobile website, activated the sim, got the $40 service for unlimited voice, text, data, and it works. (to get cellular internet to work, first while your iPhone is on wifi, go to the unlockit co nz website to set up an APN profile for SIMPLE Mobile on the iPhone.) 3G that is compatible with iPhone is starting to show up in San Diego, but if Tmobile hasn't transitioned its towers in your neighborhood yet, then you may only get 2G with the "E" in the top status bar if you have an iPhone. to get some sort of idea if iphone-compatible 3G is in your area at all, go see the map of "sightings of t-mobile 3G" on the website at airportal dot de. if you have an android phone, then you shouldn't have these current iPhone issues which should hopefully be all cleared up sometime in 2013 since Tmobile will soon be selling iPhones. but if you have an iPhone and want Tmobile, yet want something more than the $30 Tmobile plan that has only 100 minutes voice although unlimited txts and unlimited data, then SIMPLE Mobile with unlimited voice, text, and data for $40 is worth the cost. (note: the "unlimited" data is said to actually have a cap of two gigabytes, and therefore you may NOT want to do any tethering or anything that requires a constant connection which are against the SIMPLE Mobile terms & conditions; so, "unlimited" data for internet seems to mean unlimited access but not unlimited bandwidth.) of course, you first have to get a nice cheap SIM card to use SIMPLE Mobile. that's where the cheap purchase of this SIM card for a buck (plus S&H) is very much worth the cost.

1.0 von 5 Sternen "Unlimited Data" means disconnecting after 2GB 24. Februar 2013

First the good: this SIM does work and is far cheaper than what Simple Mobile charges. Uses Tmobile network which isn't the best, but I've used Tmobile for years without a problem personally until switching to save money.

The bad: Setting up a SM account to port over a number is a nightmare of confusing instructions, uninformed customer service reps, and terrible English. You have to talk to a CSR to get a number ported over, and instead of using a form to copy the numerous IMEI, PIN, and SIM numbers, you have to spell it out over the phone to someone who can't hear you and you can't understand well. But had you actually got what they advertise, I'd still consider it worth it since you only have to do this once.

The Ugly: Even though everywhere on their website it says "Unlimited 4G" and if you ask the CSR's they also say "Yes, it really is unlimited", it's not. Not even close. I somewhat knew this going in about the artificial 2GB limit, but I thought they just slow it down to 2G speeds after that, which I could live with even if it quite deceptive. No, instead they send you a text saying you're abusing their system and will cut you off completely. Yeah, "unlimited" means "2GB then we kick you off completely". And note I wasn't tethering, or anything like that. I just streamed Pandora and Amazon MP3 and that gets you over 2GB pretty fast.

I'm moving to PTel which at least gives you 2G after the first 2GB at the same price (would have went there first, but they weren't setup with SIMs when I started with Simple Mobile). Both use the same Tmobile airwaves.

So yes, really don't use Simple Mobile if you wanted the unlimited 4G. And just for the ridiculousness of their deception, I wouldn't recommend them for any of the other plans either then.

Also side note, on most pre-paid plans, Visual Voicemail and short code texting (5-digit numbers used for promotions and such) don't work. This isn't just on Simple Mobile, but something to be considered when switching to any pre-paid.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Wow... Simple Mobile + Unlimited Phones 4 Less 11. Juli 2013
Von K Jonee - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

I ordered a regular Simple Mobile Some Card from Unlimited Phones 4 Less on July 6, 2013. The order was shipped on July 8, 2013. It was shipped first class from Ontario, Canada. I ordered this product and the total price I paid was .52 cents. Shipping on my item was free. Because it was shipped first class mail, it wasn't assigned a tracking number or tracking ID. You would have to contact the seller via Amazon or another method. I did contact the seller and I got a response the very next day. The Sim Card arrived in my mailbox today. I saved a lot of money on the some card. Retailers want $40 to sometimes $50 for these Sim Cards.
I got my SIM card in as little as 3 days, Not counting the weekend. And I am satisfied, I received a brand new Sim card not altered at all.
I can't wait to test it out after reading all the reviews.

I RECOMMEND THE SELLER UNLIMITED PHONES 4 LESS TO ANYONE WANTING QUALITY MATERIAL. I ALSO WOULD ADVISE AMAZON CUSTOMERS TO CHECK NEW AND USED PRICES FOR EVERY ITEM YOU MAY WANT TO BUY ON AMAZON. SOMETIMES THE LOWEST PRICES ARE NOT AUTOMATICALLY SHOWN, AND YOU CAN PURCHASE BRAND NEW PRODUCTS FOR LESS THAN A DIME.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Absolutely solid service(but porting is a βιτξη) 9. November 2012

I bought two of these SIM cards at the end of July, but didn't activate one until Halloween.

A word of caution to those who want to port their number to Simple Mobile(that is, keep your current cell number):
You can either find an authorized dealer and pay them to help you port over, or do it for free over the phone. I took the latter route.

It didn't go well.
(Before I continue, I will clarify, the service itself is great, BETTER THAN SPRINT.)

Calling Simple Mobile and getting to a human is not that hard. The exercise in patience comes from trying to understand them. They speak English with an accent so thick, if you cut it in half, you'd still have a hard time making heads or tails of them. Apparently, they didn't get my account info from Boost. Like they ignored it or something.
I got an account established with a new number(which gets a lot of telemarketer calls, I need to call that do not call registry), and I was able to log in on the website, but I had to go back and correct all my info.

Overall, I recommend the service, with a few caveats:
*$40 plan has the first 250MB at full speed, then it throttles back to around 200kbps.
*If you're going to port your number, I strongly urge you to shell out the extra cash and find an authorized dealer.
*If you're not going to port, just activate online if you can. CALL AS A LAST RESORT!

OH! I forgot: Simple Mobile uses T-Mobile's network, so if you want 3G/FauxG, make sure your phone has the 1700MHZ band.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Really Simple - need not go to a retailer, you can activate and port yourself 8. Juni 2013

I already had a simple mobile connection, but when I had got it there was no online activation and ended up paying 35$ extra by going to a dealer to get my connection activated. I ordered this for my friend and now you could activate the sim card and port your old number on the simple mobile website using a credit card, which he did in a few mins. His connection was activated (with porting old number) in about 15mins and he was using it with no trouble. But remember to choose the right plan when you activate because my friend was told (he called customer service after activating the connection) that he cannot activate the international long distance (ILD) and has to wait for next cycle to get it activated.

The sim card arrived the same day it was promised.
