Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wurde 1859 in Edinburgh geboren. Er studierte Medizin und praktizierte von 1882 bis 1890 in Southsea. Reisen führten ihn in die Polargebiete und nach Westafrika. 1887 schuf er Sherlock Holmes, der bald seinen "Geist von besseren Dingen" abhielt. 1902 wurde er zu Sir Arthur Conan Doyle geadelt. In seinen letzten Lebensjahren - seit dem Tod seines Sohnes 1921 - war er Spiritist. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle starb 1930 in Crowborough/Sussex.

Boa edição edição em capa dura, páginas costuradas e papel levemente pardo com pouca transparência para conforto visual durante a leitura, produzida pelo "The Sherlock Holmes Museum". Não há menção quanto ao tipo do papel, se é ou não acid free.

A letra é pequena, mas ainda assim bem legível. Há ilustrações - não aquelas da Strand Magazine -, mas ainda assim boas. Quanto ao tamanho do livro, é grande, mas pode ser levado à cama para uma leitura noturna e pode ser carregado em uma mochila.

Uma boa escolha dentre os volumes únicos (que normalmente têm a letra minúscula e folhas muito transparentes).

Bought it for 1450₹ (INR), In short :Totally worth.

I've searched a lot for complete works of Sherlock Holmes, considering my budget & desire to own a Hard Bound version, this is the best edition that I could find & Let me tell you why this edition impressed me...

1) It contains all the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle: [4 Novels + 5 short story collections (56 short stories) ]
in one book.

2) The Hard Bound edition is sturdy enough that I'm sure it'll last long with proper care & the cover art is fabulous.

3)The Font and print are fine. Paper quality is great (thumbs up there).
It has few old school illustrations here & there, which is really a bonus for me (Come on, I'm here for the story).

4)Comes with the classic red string bookmark (That's always a '+' in my book :p).

Only nitpick is that the paragraphs look dense and sentences look jammed close together, but as all the works come in a single volume its pretty understandable why they went with the closer line spacing
& The seller 'CloudTail' could use some bubble wrap or some sort of protective covering while sending the book for delivery (Just Saying).
