      Rene Noorbergen has put forth such information that is most interesting…from Noah’s Ark to the technology of the antediluvian world. Most people think of our ancient ancestors as barely above a ‘cave man’ mentality. NOTHING can be further from the truth! These people were descendants of our first parents…Adam & Eve. And being newly from the hand of our Creator God, these people were brilliant, plus they lived for hundreds of years, not the mere ‘80’ years we see today.
      This is worth your time to read. You can then decide for yourself what you care to believe!

      This is another classic book from the 1970s, about some unexplained mysteries from our past that should be read by any fan of "ancient astronauts" theory (it could be easily read alongside similar books from that time period, written by Robert Charroux or Richard Mooney).

      The book has about 200 pages, few of them contain drawings and photos, 9 chapters (The End of the Beginning, Ooparts - Science in the Raw, Following in the Tracks of Ancient Explorers, Advanced Aviation in Prehistoric Times, Nuclear Warfare Among the Primitives, Unraveling the Enigma of the cave Man, Mystery Monuments of the Builders), and unlike some other books from that period of time - it actually has a small notes and bibliography sections at the end.

      As the author is saying in the introduction, the book is attempting to answer the following questions:

      - Did "they" really visit us in the ancient times?
      - Is our technology a mere shadow of what "they" once taught us?
      - Are "they" perhaps still in communication with our civilization or have "they" abandoned us forever?
      - Is it possible that the unidentified ancient artifacts attesting to a super technological society belong to our own historical development?
      - Can it be that we have regressed instead of evolved? Have we lost more than we have gained? (This question is also discussed in books by Mooney)
      - Are we now again approaching the level of advancement and sophistication that led to a historical downfall of the human race?

      Some discussed subjects include: various myths related to Flood/Deluge, similarities between the names of biblical patriarchs and Egyptian gods (and Chaldean Kings), Mayan and Sumerian myths, Salzburg cube, Coso artifact (possibility of electricity in ancient times), Great Pyramid, mountains of Ararat and Noah's ark, ancient Chinese literary works such as "Shan Hai King, The Classic of Mountains and Seas" (some interesting info there about ancient Chinese expeditions), the Babylonian "Epic of Etana", the Saqqara bird/plane, ancient maps (usual suspects here: Zeno brothers and Piri Reis), ancient Hindu literary works such as Mahabharata (and ancient atomic explosions), Hopi's legends, and several others interesting and controversial subjects.

      Is the book worth reading - especially if it is a bit dated? In a way, I think it is. Obviously not everything in our past is crystal clear, as orthodox historians and archaeologists want us to believe (that our current civilization is the result of gradual development from primitive beginnings), and some questions asked by the author are still valid today. Unlike some other authors from that period of time, he is not saying that everything was done by "ancient astronauts" or "little green men" - but is leaning towards more human-centric theories involving advanced, ancient and long forgotten human civilization, that flourished before the Flood. Bear in mind that sometimes the author seems a bit too quick to make various assumptions (and some of the conclusions he draws are not necessarily reliable), but his starting theories are very interesting even today.
