    I was able to fit a full size 1911, a commander size 1911, an XD Mod 2 .45 cal., 4 - 1911 mags, and 2 XD mags in this case and a small box of ammo. Everything is standing vertically and do not really have to force the lid shut. Very sturdy product. And a great size to put in checked baggage for flights.

    Bought a 'used' one from here, and can I tell you I have been missing out on SO MUCH by doing so!

    This case came in original packaging (little damaged) but with the new Pluck foam, and I could not be happier! I loaded my back-up camera into it (SONY A7) with additional batteries, lenses, and a RODE VIDEOPRO MIC and it all fit well and organized. Couldn't be happier with the purchase.

    Working in event production my cases get a lot of abuse from travel to storage, so having a secure case is something that is a must. The durability of these cases are incredible, in the very short time I have had my case, its already been tossed into the back of a packing van, ran over by a forklift and much more. My camera and everything inside were untouched! WHICH IS HUGE!!!

    I bought a cheaper case from a different manufacturer first that explicitly stated "The Cabela's Armor Xtreme Molded Pistol Case has been modified so that the hinge pins cannot be removed when the case is closed." When it arrived this was not true and the hinge pins could be easily pushed out, while closed/locked, with a paper clip. That makes that case completely useless for secure airline travel.

    I learned my lesson and bought this Pelican like I should have done in the first place. This Pelican case arrived yesterday and it is perfect. The hinges use a one way pin that is difficult to remove without time/tools and the case closes and locks securely. This size is a bit large for transporting a single full frame handgun but I wanted the option of storing one handgun, three mags, and two boxes of ammunition (check your airline regulations) or two full frame handguns with magazines. The 1400 fits a full size M&P9, three magazines, and two 20 round boxes of ammunition with plenty of padding to spare... probably enough to include a light.
    If you want to go smaller, the 1200 will fit a full frame with two mags nicely but with no room for ammunition.

    FYI : A 38mm padlock was the sweet spot for the size that would lock this case but with as little wiggle room as possible. When locked, attempting to open the case will only allow it to open a few millimeters - only exposing the inner ridge of the case. So, no worries about anyone trying to pull something small out through the crack.

    I'm sold on Pelican from now on.

    Perfect fit for everything needed for the Mavic Pro! Can fit the drone, controller, charging adapter with cables, 3 batteries(will make another spot when I get a spare battery), miniSD cards, and extra propellers. Will not worry about this drone when I'm carrying around in my car.

    Awesome case! I feel very good about my handguns in there. I absolutely butchered the foam customization on the first foam piece, bought another through Amazon for $23 because I have OCD haha, I honestly recommend you just leave it alone if you're storing handguns only, unless you're going to go nice and slow and take your time with it. Nice clips, rubberized handle is great, good size. I'm sure his thing would survive anything! (Mostly...haha) seen in picture: Smith and Wesson 9mm M&P Shield with extra clip, Glock 17 Gen 4 with extra clips.
