The book doesn't seem to be edited, so it reads like it was written by a person who doesn't speak English as their first language. The choppy grammar and other mistakes make it difficult to read smoothly, so I would definitely suggest that it be revised and updated.

With that said, the information in the book is helpful. My son is almost 3 years old, and I've noticed that he expresses signs of overstimulation in certain situations, like walking into a loud house party filled with tons of people just makes him run to the door and want to leave. There are very few specific suggestions for solutions, but lots of broad, generalized tips, like "it's important to be patient with your child and to try and understand the root cause of his anxiety." Most of the info was repetitive for me, but it's the first time that I came across some of the terminology used, and that can help me do more of my own research.

Overall, it's a good topic to write about and has some good info, a very quick read, but not detailed enough or edited enough for higher than 3 stars.

There's nothing more precious than a new born baby! The joy of having a brand new little person added to the family is priceless. Parents and grandparents alike are so proud and already have goals and plans in-store for this little one. Parents know their children's needs and wants better than anyone. That is an essential tool in discovering if your child has sensory signals. Sensory signals as the author, Jessica Fleming, describes is noticing any behavior change or reactions your child has to his environment or surrounding. This information opened my eyes to this certain type of behavior. Realizing this may be a real issue and not just attention getting, can make life easier for the parent and child. Jessica give awesome suggestions and ideas to help your child along. She even gives tips, if these suggestions don't work, for professional care. A must read for all parents with small children!

”Parenting Toddlers” is a great book. I saw some of the signs of sensory signals with one of my own children. I just always assumed he was acting out, since I read this book, I know more about what is going on and how to help improve it. What a fantastic tool this is, every parent should read it and own it so they can re read when necessary. So many of us don’t understand that there may be something causing the behavior, so we just get frustrated with our children. We need to understand that we can be helping them and making it easier for them and us, by researching what is happening and the cause of it. In this fantastic book Jessica Fleming has done the research for us. And by following her simple, easy to understand guidelines, you will have a much happier child. A must read!!!

After having my third boy, who is now 18 months old, I have come across many issues that my two older boys had never faced. As a parent you want to do what’s best for your kids, but you can also feel confused or even embarrassed. This book has made me realize that these ”small” issues might be ”big” issues for my little guy. If I can change a few things in our daily life like putting water in the tub before he gets in, maybe he will want to take a bath and it won’t seem so scary for him. Another thing I’ve not thought about is giving him less milk during the day so he will eat meals! I felt guilty about him not wanting to eat but this might be the problem. I’m looking forward to trying some of these ideas out….thank you!

This book was a great read. I have three kids who are all grown but I have a 2 and a half year old grandson and two grand babies on the way. I don’t think you can ever have too much information when it comes to raising a child. There’s a lot of good information in this book. I really think anyone who has children, is expecting a child or if you’re just around children then you should read this book. I had never heard of Sensory issues until I read this book. I’m really glad I read it because now I will know what to look for in the grand babies. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about raising children.
