30. Dezember 2016

I am a professional wedding videographer, and I can honestly say this is a disappointment. I have owned this monopod for almost a year. I have to spray WD-40 in the bottom rotating ball before everytime I use it otherwise it sticks and bumps the video really badly anytime I try to pan the camera or do any sort of fluid movement shot. Sometimes i forget WD40 and then i am out of luck- No beautiful panning shots for an entire wedding.
Also, the top latch that tightens, when I adjust the height of the monopod, I can feel it slowly lowering down as if it won't actualy tighten enough. So it can only go 2/3 as high as its advertised. The idea of this product is great, a big improvement from tripods if using for video. But this specific monopod is VERY poorly made. I am so frustrated I spent so much money on this to have it work no better than my tripod. I thought Manfrotto was a reliable brand but this monopod has given me way too much trouble.

5.0 von 5 Sternen A must have piece of gear 6. Januar 2015

This monopod has quickly become my go to method of stabilization. It is so well made and versatile, I rarely find it necessary to use a glidecam or slider because I can replicate the same feel with this tool. Light enough to go anywhere, solid enough to hold up to the difficult tasks. With a little practice, you can easily replicate a large variety of camera moves. This model in particular is very well made with the incorporated fluid head and foot. The only minor issue is that the foot requires occasional maintenance (some lubricant every few weeks -- I have been using WD40 as silicon spray tends to cause squeaking).

5.0 von 5 Sternen This piece of hardwre is amazing 27. Juni 2014

I took this out on my first shoot yesterday and it was great. It does pan from the bottom and that took some getting used to, upon deep investigation this es because a monopod that pans from the top would unscrew the head. I am to creat motion in my videos that I would never be able to recreate with any other gear.

Be forewarned that this does advertise that it can stand on its own, and that is true, but its unreliable and can fall over with a brisk wind. Also note that this is no replacement for a tripod but comes damn close. So things like timelapse, long exposure, or hdr you will need a stiff hand or a tripod. all things considered I think that this is a great option to anyones tool kit and even better when combined with Manfrotto's quick release plate. http://www.amazon.com/Manfrotto-323-Connect-Adapter-200PL-14/dp/B001ASU1QO/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1403882491&sr=8-4&keywords=manfrotto+quick+release+plate

This is simply amazing... from the second i grabbed it out of the box it feels like professional equipment right away and is beautifully crafted. I put together the mounting bracket (yeah you gotta stick a few screws in and a rubber thing) and screwed it into my Canon 70D without any issues and it just snaps right in place.

After watching some videos online on how to utilize a Monopod for video I gave it a shot at a Crossfit event I was filming and at a wedding that same week. I was VERY impressed with how stable and easy it is to manage! I made adjustments on the fly, got incredible angles and smooth glides. What got a lot of peoples attention was when I popped the camera off to do some handheld stuff and just left the Monopod standing on its own 3 feet! After getting the shot ran back to the Monopod and quickly snapped the camera in and was back in business. This is something I wish I would have gotten sooner and HIGHLY recommend to anyone doing video/photo.

Great product! I am a part-time videographer that shoots live events (speeches, fundraisers, etc) where it is necessary to constantly be on the move in order to capture multiple angles of the same person. This product provides stable, tripod-like capabilities, while also being much more mobile than a traditional tripod.

The leg clasps make it quick and quiet to adjust height. The three "feet" on the bottom provide incredible stability, and also allow for dolly-zoom-like capabilities. The fluid head on this works beautiful with just a bit of practice, providing smooth pans.

The quick-release plate on the head is great for getting your camera on and off this monopod quickly if you want to go handheld for a few photos.

This product is incredibly well-built -- rugged, lightweight, and user friendly. This is top notch Manfrotto quality.

I would definitely recommend this product!
