I recently purchased a Fujifilm X-S1 Bridge/Superzoom camera for my wife and we decided to get this case for it. We opted for a case that wasn't too snug of a fit. The extra room this bag provides gives us a nice compromise between a holster and a shoulder bag. Some of the holster style bags didn't seem like they would have extra room for the camera's neck strap if it were on. And some of the shoulder bags were overly large for what we wanted. This was a great compromise on size for our camera and our accessory/storage needs.
Externally, the Manfrotto Pro Holster Plus 20 has a very rigid, tough exterior. If you tap/flick the front it sounds like a semisolid. It's foam, just a very tough closed cell foam. The two pockets on the side don't have any external padding to speak of, but are sufficient for holding smaller items. Perhaps filters, extra cash, iPhone, batteries etc. It has a padded strap with gunmetal grey metal buckles and very nice, ergonomic, easy to open zippers. I also like the fact it doesn't have a camera brand name (steal me sign) on the side. Thieves know what Canon, Nikon, Sony etc. mean. They probably won't recognzie the Manfrotto logo.
Inside, the case has a red "Core Protection System" divider that can be moved around, and creates a 'compartment' next to the camera that would be a perfect place to store an extra lens if using a DSLR. We're keeping the raincover in there for now but it's easy to access with a 'lid' so I'm sure that will change. There is also a grey velcro backed 'pad' inside on the bottom. It's trapezoidal and is pretty much the same shape as the bottom of the case. Not sure where else one would put that pad. I moved it slight over to the side so it goes 'up against the inside wall' of the bag. Providing a little more support for the lens portion of the camera. I asked my wife what she would rate it and she said 4.5. When I asked her what could possible by improved her only nitpick (and she had to think about it) is that she wold like for the side pockets to be a little deeper. And it would be nice if you could customize the inside a little more.
I get the impression the primary purpose for this case was to protect the camera. Considering how well it is built, I'm sure it will live up to its purpose. This is a tough case, so I give it 5 stars.
