The content focuses on specific aspects of the MMA game, such as the thai clinch and cage tactics in much greater detail than other publications. Counter and recounter moves are included as well as the different situations that Silva's moves can be applied. Silva methodology on classic moves are obvious such as within the takedowns and takedown defence sections and within the ground fighting chapters, and I was happy to see a section devoted to leg locks, something missing from many MMA instructionals. The authors have taken into consideration the plethora of instuctionals out there and provided something new. However those looking for a complete fighting system should consider the book complimentary.
The one criticism I have is that Anderson provides very few examples of where his moves have been applied in his fights. More examples would have provided richness to the explanations.
In conclusion this book is an important addition to any fighting instructional library.
