Dorogovtsev is one of the top researchers in probably the hottest new research field today: networks science. He is responsible for a number of fundamental results pertaining to the structure and dynamics of scale-free networks. In this book we see a different aspect of him: as an educator, he offers a concise introduction to complex networks. Lectures on Complex Networks is a wonderful elementary yet non-compromising starting point for anybody who would like to get acquainted with the science of networks.
