Viele Tipps haben mir persönlich sehr weiter geholfen. Alles ist kurz und prägnant gehalten. Hier wird nicht lang um den heißen Brei herum geredet. Gutes Buch, von einem inspirierenden Autor

HASH(0x8f048a74) von 5 Sternen It's not as easy - That much is clear. 11. Februar 2015

“Kindle Marketing Secrets 33 Ways to promote your Kindle book and Get more Sales” is a pretty complete book. I appreciated that. However, the book is written in fairy tale style and fails to show potential pitfalls. I am concerned that this book makes things look too easy.

Though Stefan Pylarinos stresses the right dogmas, ” The best marketing is a great product” and “Make sure you are contributing quality stuff to someone’s blog that is actually helping the reader….”, he also seems to suggest that creating a great product is easy or can be solved via help from fiverr.

Referring to Strategy #9. - - To guest blog on a reputable blog site wanna-be guest bloggers have to query the blog’s owner. I have done it many a times. Reputable bloggers don’t risk their blog’s reputation (and style) by just having ‘somebody’ post ‘something’. The guest blog has to fit into the main blog’s philosophy, the format, and even the previously-posted and soon-to-be-posted content. Speaking from my own experience, if a blogger’s query is accepted the blog’s owner will suggest a niche theme, the number of words, and the time frame to submit and getting the guest-blog approved. Guest bloggers may have to wait up to 6 weeks till their blog is presented. So, yes, the author’s strategy is correct but a lot more work is involved.

Equally, strategy #12 - blog commenting can work well, but is a lot more difficult and time intense than this author seems to suggest. – To clarify this, Stefan Pylarinos does not suggest that authors post their books’ info in their comment (which would lead to the comment getting deleted). He wants authors to make sure that they post with their profile that will link back to their books. I am not saying that this method does not work but probably not as easily as this book appears to suggest. Then again, everybody can answer this question for himself – How often do you look up blog commenters’ profiles? And, once you check them out, do you buy whatever they publish, just because of one blog comment? At least, I don’t. Naturally, if I see the same commenter’s intelligent remarks more often, I might take a closer look, but that requires that the commenter keeps posting. Like mentioned, I am not suggesting that the strategies mentioned in this book don’t work, I am suggesting that a lot more work is involved.

Additionally, reading this book feels almost like an advertisement for fiverr. I myself like fiverr too and have had art projects done there. However, considering that this book “Kindle Marketing Secrets 33 Ways to promote your Kindle book and Get more Sales” is geared towards ‘new authors’ I think this book needs to point out that some of fiverr’s “artists” have overstepped lines. E.g. posting a fake review (positive or negative) breaks the Federal Trade Commission’s truth-in-advertising laws. The problem was so rampant Cornell University has developed an algorithm to detect fake reviews. Everybody can find more information about these issues on the Internet.
I believe for this book to get a higher rating than 3-stars this book needs to point out these problems, so new authors know where the FTC draws the line and understand completely what is legal and what is not.
All in all this book presents 33 ways to promote your book, however absolutely all of them are presented – as if doing them were easy. In reality it involves a lot more work than this book describes.
E.g. the author strongly suggests to “offer free stuff to readers” so they will subscribe to your email list. Of course that is a proven method. However, just recently an email marketing expert revealed in Forbes Magazine, that typically, newsletters get opened only by about 21% of recipients, and only 8% click on the call to action, which does not even mean that these customers bought the product; maybe they just looked.

All in all not a bad a book, but to really understand the chances for success readers need to ask themselves, when was the last time they did what this author suggests potential buyers will do.

When did they buy an item just because it was advertised in a newsletter they subscribed to?
How often do they look up blog commenters, and how often do they buy spontaneously from these people?
How often do they open newsletters and how often do the follow the call to action?

Even more fascinating I just found out that Stefan Pylarinos has not tweeted anything since September 16 of last year. Personally I find that very interesting; at times I doubt that the customary constant tweeting is making the world a better place. However, I would have liked to hear Pylarinos’s strategy, I am sure he has one.

HASH(0x8eb444a4) von 5 Sternen Marketing tips that can be a good resource for beginners 24. Februar 2014
Von Emanuel - Veröffentlicht auf
Format: Kindle Edition Verifizierter Kauf
I feel that I didn't get anything new out of the this book. Beginners might think this is a good resource. But before you spend your money. Be aware that most of the information contained within this book can be found for free online. It would require doing research, depending on your current knowledge, that could be several hours to a couple of quick searches online. If you rather just have it all in one book, this would certainly satisfy most people.

If you already have done some internet marketing, you will recognize many strategies but might not have thought of them before being useful promoting your book. You will see some new ones. Being an internet marketer, you might have connections with people publishing for kindle (or other platforms for that matter). It might help you, it might not. With a bit of creative thinking most people that are familiar of blogging, niche sites etc would be able to come up with these ideas on their own. That doesn't mean it isn't for you, that's for you to decide.

There are many links within this book. Some of them you might find helpful. Many resources to sites were you can promote your books. This can, as you might understand, become useful. You can find them yourself, but as mentioned before, this book will have the strategy with links. That can be very valuable to some people. I would be lying if I said that I knew all of the sites, so those might come in handy some day.

There are two strategies that I find questionable. Paying for free downloads is one of them. I would be very careful to use services that does this. Regarding the company Stefan recommended and uses himself, people need to be aware that Amazon seems to be taken action against them. One author has written about this on, google "freebookservice warning". Even if you see nothing wrong with this practice I recommend not using this service, at least until this issue is resolved. Don't risk your account doing this.

Having family members and friends reviewing your books is the other strategy I have a problem with. While this won't risk your account, as long as the review clearly states any kind of relationship with the author. Amazon may be fine with this, but I'm not. People will not truly be objective, even tough you tell them to be. Giving a great review for a great book is easy, especially if it's a loved ones book. Giving an honest review about a bad book might not be that easy for everyone if they care about the author on a personal level. It simply increases the chances that people will hold back. It's just better keeping your work and family separate. I understand if people don't agree with me on this. But that is my view.

One other thing that I didn't like is that this book doesn't have a table of contents. You might not care, but I do. When it comes to non-fiction, I like to first get an overview of the chapters and being able to jump chapters that I already feel I have sufficient knowledge in. With this book, I couldn't do that. While that isn't an world ending problem, it was a bit annoying. I don't think majority of readers will mind, but if you think you would, at least now you know.

To conclude, you could do worse than this book. It can be a major timesavers for certain buyers. While I didn't get much out of it, others might. It really depends on your situation.

It takes the courage of a lion to explain how to subvert Amazon in a book that's on Amazon.

I give 4.37 stars because Amazon's reviews are so broken that few people read and believe 5 star reviews anymore. Read this book. You'll learn a lot. (Don't add keywords to the contributor section though.) All other tactics are golden.

My name is Jake. I'm a real person who read this book cover to cover and wasn't paid or promised any favors in return for a review.

This ebook was free so I didn't feel cheated, but I did feel disappointed. It was another rehash of the same old techniques. Also, the ebook is laced with affiliate links, so recommendations are not without bias. One of the worrisome things I found was his endorsement of the "Domination" service, and some question the ethics and value of it. There are allegations on the Warrior Forum and other sites that Amazon may ban people who use that service. The author also seems to endorse family members doing reviews, and authors trading reviews, and Amazon is already on record as frowning on such reviews. So, tread softly with this ebook. There is some good stuff for newbies, even though most of the info can be easily found on the Internet. Also, I'd say there are some landmines in it too. Watch your step.

Got this book along with the other 2 books (in a bundle of 3) from the same author. The author provides a radical way of finding the market size, creating the product (in this case the ebook), and then all-out marketing of the book to rake in the money. This is a shift in writing for the market rather than write and then market types approach.

Provides very simple and doable marketing strategies.

I've been following Stefan since the last 15 days by way of his other products and am impressed that he has created a comprehensive material on using the Kindle platform for creating passive income.
