    Wir haben 6 von den Geräten auf einmal gekauft für eine Videokunst-Installation. Die Konverter haben alle einwandfrei funktioniert. Die überraschende Menge an Kabeln, die mitgeliefert wird kann man als luxuriös bezeichnen, auch wenn hier an andere Stelle deren Qualität bemängelt wurde. Bei uns gingen sie gut. Foto anbei.

    Hallo Zusammen,

    ich habe das Produkt vor 2 Tagen bekommen und muss sagen, dass ich bisher sehr zufrieden bin. Der Konverter tut was er soll, mein VGA-Signal in eine S-Video-Signal umwandeln und das sogar sehr gut. Nach kuerzer Einstellung über die Knöpfe direkt am Konverter hatte ich ein ruckel- und schlierenfreies Bild, was genau mein Fernsehbild ausfüllte.

    Das beiliegende Handbuch brauchte ich nicht einmal anschauen, da das Produkt meiner Meinung nach zum Einen selbsterklärend ist und zum Anderen bei mir auch sofort (Plug`n`Play halt) seinen Dienst antrat.

    Das einzige kleine Manko ist die Haptik des Geräts. Es wirkt alles in allem nicht gerade robust, gerade was die Steckplätze der Kabel und die Druckschalter zur Bildeinstellung angeht.
    Die Knöpfe sind sehr wacklig und wirken nicht gerade als würden sie häufiges Drücken überstehen. Jedoch muss man das ja auch nicht, wenn man das Gerät einmal auf den Fernseher eingestellt hat.
    Das beigelegte S-Video Kabel ließ sich nur mit etwas Kraftaufwand in die dafür vorgesehene Buchse schieben (was eventuell auch an der Verarbeitung dieses Kabels liegen dürfte?!) und die Buchse schien mir hierbei, als würde ich sie gleich reindrücken.

    Dies kann jedoch täuschen, was mir der Langzeit-Test zeigen wird. Zudem werde ich ja das Kabel nicht täglich aus der Buchse nehmen sondern es möglichst so belassen.

    So gibt es von mir für die Funktionsweise und die Bedienung 5 Sterne,
    für die Habtik und die Verarbeitung 3 Sterne
    und für das Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis 5 Sterne.

    Im Durchschnitt macht das also 4,66 und wird somit auf volle 5 Sterne gerundet.

    Ich hoffe meine Rezension konnte Euch / Ihnen weiterhelfe.

    Ich habe heute meinen Kanaan Konverter erhalten.

    Das Einsatzgebiet dieses Konverters ist das Anschauen von Filmen auf meinem analogen 80cm Fernseher. Verbunden ist der Adapter folgendermaßen.

    - Vom PC (Grafikkarte Club 3D HD 5570 1024 MB) zum Adapter per VGA Kabel.

    - Vom Adapter zum Fernseher per (Video)chinch (gelber Stecker). Dieser ist wiederum an an einem Scartadapter angeschlossen und der Scartadapter dann schließlich an den Scartanschluss des Fernsehers.

    Da ich mir einen neuen PC zugelegt habe und heutige Grafikkarten keinen analogen TV-Out mehr anbieten, musste ein solcher Adapter her.

    Ich hatte zuerst nach einer Rezension hier die Befürchtung, dass der PC sich automatisch auch auf dem PC-Monitor der Auflösung des Adapters anpasst (d.h. dass immer, wenn der Adapter am VGA eingesteckt gewesen wäre, auch ein 1920x1080 Full HD Monitor auf die maximale Auflösung des Adapaters (1280x1024) gewechselt wäre). Dem ist NICHT so. Die Auflösungen von PC-Monitor und Fernseher sind komplett getrennt, zumindest wnen man wie ich den PC-Monitor digital per DVI angeschlossen hat.

    Nun zur Inbetriebnahme. Im Gegensatz zu einigen Rezensionen hier und dem beiligenden Handzettel (nur englisch) ist es nicht so, dass man nur den Adapter anschließen müsste und dann hätte man auch schon ein Bild an dem am Adapter angeschlossenen Gerät. Ich hatte den Adapter angeschlossen und dennoch bekam ich auf "AV-1" (Eingang des Scartanschlusses des Fernsehers) kein Signal.

    Ich musste erst im Catalyst Control Center (v11.2) im Menüpunkt "Desktop-Management\Erstellen und Anordnen von Desktops" die "Anzeigen erkennen" Routine laufen lassen, um die Fernsehausgabe zu aktivieren.

    Nun war also schon einmal ein Bild da, aber es flackerte noch recht heftig. Das Gerät besitzt einen OSD (On Screen Display) mit welchem man die Ausgabe steuern kann. Leider war mir dieses Menü nicht sofort selbsterklärend. Ich brauchte einige Minuten, um zu merken, dass sich tatsächlich etwas tat, wenn ich auf die Tasten "Links" und "Rechts" der Bedienelemente des Adapters betätigte. Bei manchen Menüpunkten wie z.B. "Flicker" (dazu gleich mehr) ist es nämlich nicht sofort ersichtlich, ob man gerade etwas verändert. Das OSD gibt selber dazu leider überhaupt kein Feedback und auch im Handzettel ist die Bedienung des OSD nur rudimentär erklärt.

    Neben Positionierung des Bildes vertikal/horizontal, kann man auch Helligkeit, Farbsättigung, etc.. einstellen. Der wichtigste Menüpunkt lautet jedoch "Flicker". Hier kann man das Bild ruhiger einstellen. Hier komme ich nun zum stärksten Kritikpunkt. Mit dem beigelegten VGA Kabel war kein flackerfreies Bild hinzubekommen. In 2 Rezensionen hier wurde ja sogar gesagt, dass deren VGA Kabel sogar ganz defekt gewesen wären. Auf jeden Fall habe ich dann das VGA Kabel des Adapters gegen das, welches ich noch vom Monitor hatte ausgetauscht und siehe da, das Flackern gehörte der Vergangenheit an. Anmerken möchte ich, dass ich schon vorher ein gutes Chinchkabel benutzt habe, so dass ich hier das beiligende Chinchkabel des Adapters erst gar nicht ausprobiert habe.

    Fazit:

    Der Adapter leistet schlussendlich einen tollen Dienst und lässt den alten (aber dennoch sehr guten) Röhrenfernseher nicht nutzlos werden. Mit einem guten VGA Kabel (die beigelegten Kabel des Adapters kann man, wie es der Preis auch nahelegt, nur als Schrott bezeichnen. Ein separates, qualitatives VGA Kabel ist Pflicht) ist die Bildqualität gleichwertig mit dem Videoout einer Grafikkarte. Das selbstverständlich kein Bild ausgegeben wird, wie man es auf dem PC gewohnt ist, sollte eigentlich jedem klar sein. Die Ausgabe auf einen Fernseher dient rein dem Filmeschauen, zum arbeiten, surfen, etc,.. ist es in keiner Weise geeignet. Dies ist aufgrund der nativen Auflösung eines Röhrenfernsehers auch gar nicht möglich. Für das Ergebnis nimmt man auch die etwas umständliche Inbetriebnahme und das sehr spartanische "Handbuch" in Kauf. Die Filme ruckeln bei mir übrigens nicht. Diese laufen genauso wie früher aus dem Videoout der Grafikkarte.

    Insgesamt ist der Adapter empfehlenswert!

    USB Stromversorgung, die inkludierten Kabeln und die guten Rezensionen haben mir Hoffnung gemacht, doch die Qualität ist ungenügend. Die Farben, speziell rot und blau, sind komplett übersättigt. Im Einstellungsmenü fehlt leider die Möglichkeit Farbwerte gezielt zu regeln. Man kann nur die Sättigung allgemein einstellen, was aber nicht ausreicht, um akzeptable Farbwerte zu bekommen. Die Helligkeit ist auch sehr beschränkt.
    Weiters ist die Verweildauer des Menüs mit 3 Sekunden extrem kurz. Nach 3 Sekunden versteckt sich das Menü wieder von selbst.

    Die Schärfe des Bildes, die Einstellungsmöglichkeiten bzgl Fernsehsignal (PAL, NTSC...) sind gut. Im Vergleich zu meinem vorigen Apple DVI -> Composite Adapters, den ich aufgrund eines Grafikkartenwechsels leider nicht mehr verwenden kann, der aber auch nur geringfügig teurere war, ist die Qualität unter aller Kritik.

    Fazit Finger weg, damit machen Filmvorführungen keinen Spaß.

    Ho acquistato questo convertitore da collegare alla presa secondaria vga del notebook che utilizzo per fare karaoke. Ora posso visualizzare i testi delle canzoni contemporaneamente sul monitor per il cantante e sul televisore per il pubblico, mentre sul display del notebook ho tutti i pannelli di controllo. Ovviamente la qualità non è HD ma è comunque alta. Aperta la confezione e collegato ai dispositivi non è stato necessario neanche leggere il libretto di istruzioni. Intuitivo anche il Menu OSD. La cavetteria compresa permette di collegare il dispositivo in tutte le configurazioni necessarie. La riproduzione di film è ottima sul monitor, un pò meno sul televisore ma comunque fruibile. È un dispositivo che consiglio.

    Honnêtement, je m'attendais à un truc mal fini et qui niveaux qualité ne serait pas top... Mais j'avais tout faux! Ce petit boitier pas plus grand qu'une souris est stupéfiants!! Le branchement est on ne peut plus simple, TOUT les différents câbles sont fournis et d'une longueur raisonnable, et niveaux qualités d'affichages, c'est tout simplement parfait! Je l'utilise avec mon MacBook Pro et une télé à tube cathodique et hormis le texte qui est légèrement flou, les vidéos sont nettes!! Je peut même lancer une vidéos en HD ou en Full HD sans soucis!     My wife and I run a small karaoke business mostly for fun. At one of the venues we frequently set up at, the owner asked if there was a way to put the words for the karaoke songs on to one of the big screen TVs as well as the monitor we currently used for the singer so that people could follow along. After checking out what connections were available on the TV (S-Video) I started looking around on the internet to see what was needed. I knew I would need some kind of converter to change the signal from the laptop (SVGA) to the S-Video that the TV required. While I was shopping for a converter box I saw that there were many differet units available in all kinds of price ranges. After much reading of specifications for the different devices, I made my decision to go with the Kanaan PC VGA to TV converter. When the unit arrived a few days later, I immediately plugged it into our laptop to test it out. It came with all the cables needed to get it up and running and within minutes I had displays on the laptop, the external monitor and a TV. I was impressed with how simple it was to get up and running and the display through the device was nice and clear. The next test was to use it in an actual performance. We got all of our equipment setup and I plugged the device in (using a longer cable that I purchased separately to reach the 52" TV up on the wall). The picture came up nice and clear. We even started putting some advertising on screen for upcoming events. The venue owner was very impressed. We have also used the Kanaan unit for graduation and wedding parties to display slideshows on TVs. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone who needs to get a VGA signal converted to TV.

    I bought this gadget so I could stream videos from the computer to the tv. We're on a budget at the mo and can only afford basic freeview, so I thought this way we can watch catch up (bbc and e4 and youtube) on the tv rather than the computer monitor. I'm not the most technically savvy person but this took less than 10 minutes to wire up and ta daa! Computer output right there on my tv screen! Didn't need to adjust any settings or anything, just worked great straight off. The box includes all the wires needed to hook up a CRT tv to a computer using a VGA connection (silly me thought I'd need another VGA cable, so bought another one elsewhere, but they aren't too expensive so I guess its handy to have) There was some spare leads so I think you can probably use a different connection to hook up to the tv too, but I don't know which are which. I suppose the screen quality may not be as good as you can get, but I'm not into all the HDI stuff, and I am using an old CRT tv so as you can tell I'm not fussed. I wouldn't use the computer output on the tv to do emails etc as the resolution isn't great for text, but I think you can fiddle with the settings on the computer to make the text easier to read on the tv. The instruction leaflet is in German but the gizmo has written on it which lead plugs in where, its pretty straightforward and as I remarked, I'm not a computer whizz but I quickly worked it out, so that shows it's not difficult. I imagine if you're reading this review you know a little about what you are doing and why so should have an idea of how it all works.

    All in all, a fabulous little gizmo that is easy to set up and use. Well worth the £14 spent on it.

    Per un prezzo di 25 euro direi che posso ritenermi più che soddisfatto.
    Il prodotto è corredato da un set completo di cavi di interfacciamento e non avrei proprio potuto volere di più.
    Attenzione perchè bisogna sapere i passi con cui bisogna procedere, non basta l'intuitività dell'apparecchio.
    Io ho avuto qualche problema a causa di un adattatore che avevo acquistato da usare insieme a questo convertitore, e per avere qualche delucidazione avevo contattato il venditore ma non mi ha mai risposto.

    Fortunatamente mi è stata data una mano da altri e ora posso godermi tutti i film che voglio dal pc.
    Infatti l'ho acquistato per questo, ben consapevole che la risoluzione non permette una visione soddisfacente del desktop in tv per usi "web", mentre viceversa la visione di film a mio avviso è all'altezza, senza aspettarsi l'alta definizione ovviamente.
    In ogni caso posso così sfruttare il mio vecchio televisore a tubo catodico che mi regala una visione migliore di diversi lcd in commercio.

    Per interfacciare l'apparecchio bisogna:

    - con pc e televisore spenti, collegare il cavo VGA da pc a convertitore dall'uscita VGA del pc all'entrata VGA del convertitore (quella posta da sola sul lato corto)

    - collegare i cavi da convertitore (le uscite sono tutte sul lato lungo) a televisore usando quello che più si adatta al vostro tv e alle vostre possibilità di connessione (io ho usato il cavo con spinotto RCA giallo in abbinamento al cavo S/VIDEO, con un buon risultato sia utilizzando l'adattatore scart in dotazione, sia collegandomi direttamente sulle prese esistenti sul pannello del televisore).

    - collegare il cavo audio con minijack all'uscita cuffie del pc e con gli spinotti RCA bianco e rosso sull'adattatore scart o sulle relative prese che ci sono sulla tv, oppure ancora, sull'unità di amplificazione esterna che avete sul vostro rack stereo o il processore 5.1 ecc. (a vostra scelta).

    - collegare il cavo di alimentazione USB del convertitore al pc e al convertitore stesso.

    - accendere la tv.

    - accendere il pc.

    - selezionare con gli appositi tasti (dal telecomando o dalla tv) l'ingresso del televisore al quale è collegato il convertitore (scart1, scart2, RGB, ecc..), si dovrebbe trovare l'ingresso giusto nel momento che viene visualizzato il desktop del pc o una schermata di righe verticali colorate sullo schermo della tv.

    - se visualizzate il desktop, avete finito la procedura e siete pronti per guardare il vostro film (rammentate di alzare il volume del pc), se invece visualizzate la schermata di righe colorate verticali, dovete entrare nel sofware di gestione del computer tramite l'apposito menù per abilitare l'uscita VGA e la risoluzione più adatta per il vostro televisore (alcuni pc - o sistemi operativi - hanno l'abilitazione della porta VGA in automatico, per altri invece bisogna intervenire manualmente, come è successo a me, mentre per la risoluzione ho impostato l'opzione "automatico").
    A questo punto in una maniera o nell'altra dovrebbe essere tutto a posto.

    - se il desktop risulta decentrato rispetto allo schermo televisivo, dovete agire sui tasti di aggiustamento segnalati con le freccette (su, giù, dx, sx), operazione semplice.

    - per quanto riguarda l'adatto formato dello schermo tv, dovete selezionare dal vostro telecomando tv le solite impostazioni (4:3. 16:9 ecc..), io per avere il giusto risultato ho dovuto selezionare la modalità "automatic wide".

    - per quanto riguarda le regolazioni dovrebbe essere tutto, se invece trovate comunque delle difficoltà o non riuscite nell'interfacciamento, prendete una mazza edile da 5 kg, e sfogate la vostra frustrazione sul convertitore, ho saputo da persone che può essere terapeutico.
